Pickpocketing at rise in Delhi metro

Hi guys, ik by seeing title many must be thinking what's new in this. But seriously there's a rapid rise in pickpocketing in Delhi metro lately. On 13th May i got my phone stolen from pocket even tho i am very careful with these stuffs, then the very next day a guy got his wallet stolen from pocket again. Then today too i saw a guy whose phone got stolen in metro and people were also dicussing that these things are at new rise again. So please people who travel in Delhi metro keep an eye out and be extra alert these days. Also people from other places can see this as a reminder and take care of their personal belongings etc and do remember to take backups of your media files etc. Also if u guys can suggest some steps do let me know. As per my knowledge i have filed a police report and got a copy of it and used it to file the block request of my IMEI number of stolen phone via CEIR portal and got a duplicate sim after blocking the previous one.

OMG! Never heard of such cases on Metro! These are mainly seen in local buses near station area. Data loss are a real pain 😞

Ikr, hardly heard anyone telling pickpocketed of phone in Delhi metro in my circle, but sadly now happening in it too, yeah man lost a lot of data as it was stored on my sd card 🥲

My phone was stolen at rajiv chowk metro station 5-6 years ago...from that day onwards i either keep mobile in hand or in bag.

I didn't have bag with me, i usually hold my pocket from outside while there's rush etc to prevent this from happening, but uk just one day u r a lil careless and it happens, fate ig 🥲

That's quite unfortunate what happened to you, police might not be of much help, it's a good thing you got IMEI and Sim blocked as soon
