Usage would mostly be 20kms a day city drive and weekends would be 80-100kms

Punch will offer more value in your budget as compared to 3xo if you invest 9 lakhs.. doesn't make any sense in buying base model though

Would suggest going for a test drive of AMT before narrowing down on any. Tata AMTs are very jerky during auto gear shifts is what I heard but never driven one.
My wife got a Grand i10 AMT 6 months ago and I quite dislike driving it. Sadly, no other compact good option in that price range to choose back then that she was comfortable with.
Heard Mahindra 3XO turbo charged petrol AMT are lot better so suggest checking it out with a test drive and then decide.

I own a tata nexon facelift but I would suggest go with Hyundai cars... We see many issues from day 1 like system errors, car suddenly breakdown.....Mine is DCA version...Its suddenly slowdown while changing gears automatically.......!
Initially I thought my car having some issues but many of them in my society facing such issues with tata nexon cars.

i hrd bout a guy who brought xuv 700 and had an accident... None of the air bags where triggered.... When he filed complaint....
The company denied any accountability and said the crash was not of thatttt intensity to trigger the bags....

If u wnt to increase budget .. then do it but plz buy tata only ... Now a days tata cars like i think punch .. has even scored full star safety ratings...

but still hmm personal preference should be first priority
what I mean is,
some would like safety as first
some would like fast pickup as first
some would like good looks as first
so depends on the mindset of the person who WIELDS AND DRIVES the CAR:)
so personal preference comes first:) ASK WHAT YOUR HEART DESIRES AND RESEARCH IT AND THEN CHOOSE IT guru.hiwatsu...
Eg: I personally like pickup and looks .. that dont mean I dont want safety, just my first priority is pickup and looks , safety i can handle with my driving skill:),
(Note: even if opposite driver crash mishap happens we can try to survive if our driving skill is good, not always but possible)
(also above 60KMPH nothing is safe, so for fast drivers, no car is safe:) xD )
so i would say buy with the FLOW OF YOUR CRAVE TO BUY A CAR (i.e personal preference) and choose what is best for you , instead of this safety MARKETING GIMMIC

NON of the vehicles are safe:p xD because the safety rating IS A GIMMIC
THEY MAKE THE SAFETY RATING AT CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT AT 40 KMPH OR 60 KMPH SPEED
1) touch your heart and say are we driving at 40 and 60?? we normally drive at 80 lol xDDDD at our normal roads??
2) the safety is not only on hands of us ONLY but ALSO on the hands of the opposite person who crashes on us:P xD if their speed is more than 60KMPH even if we drive at 20KMPH and crash happens WE ARE DEAD LOL (SAFEY IS FAKE)
so the moment we broke that rule the safety rating thing is just for name sake lol it wont save you (no offence)
LATELY all the manufacctures are using this safety rating NCAP and things as marketing GIMMIC TO SELL THE CARS
In reality safety is in the hands of drivers, NOT IN THE CAR

I pray it doesn't happen to anyone but if car gets crashed as per your scenario, then sw!ft will be crushed in no time ..but a 5 star rated car , will give you injuries, but at least save your life...you can watch videos of ncap on yt

You can say that about yourself but you don't know the other person driving on road in drunk condition or just driving rash and overtaking in front of you in high speed or driving wrong side on an expressway. Roads are filled with idiots and unpredictability so its better to have a safe car than to cry later
