was gettin transcend card from greendust for 940 but trusted ebay more…so bght it frm there…

^ the higher the class the faster is the write speed to the card.

The Class number represents a multiple of 8 Mbit/s (1 MB/s), the least sustained write speeds for a card in a fragmented state (Class 2, 4, 6) or the minimum non-fragmented sequential write speed (Class 10)

the class number refers to the write speed to the card in Mbps
class 2 card writes at 2 Mbps
class 4 card writes at 4 Mbps
class 10 card writes at 10 Mbps…
read speeds are the same for all cards, usually around 15Mbps
higher class cards are required in more powerful electronic devices such as DSLR cameras where the image sizes are several MBs… with a higher class card the waiting time to save the images can be reduced
