Airfare NYC - BOM

Hi,

I want to travel from NYC to BOM in december 2013 round trip. When I am looking for tickets from the US they are turning out to be very expensive. The same distance however, when checked for BOM _ NYC round trip is almost half. Now I don’t understand why the price difference but I am looking for the cheapest deal possible.

If you guys have any idea how I can get it done then please let me know.
