Meizu MX5 at Rs 18k is an option worth considering. Dont have any idea abt the ASS though. Storage is limited to just 16GB. Higher storage options have nt been launched yet. Its AMOLED display most probably belongs to the same generation( unlike the OnePlus X )as the one gracing the S6 and Note5 making for a gorgeous display.

My favourites in order
1) nexus 5x – albeit dual SIM capability
2) Mi5
3) Meizu mx 5
4)

OnePlus Two was high on my list but after Anandtech’s review its completely nixed. Turns out it cant run its A57 cores ( 2 of which are always disabled ) for any length of time. For even mundane tasks like web browsing it behaves more like a Moto G as only the A53 cores are in use. Worst implementation of SD 810 EVER. I now agree with the critics that OnePlus is more/mostly abt marketing hype.

I might do that. Which devices are you referring to? https://cdn0.desidime.com/smileys/8O9eK.gif

P.S. Just read an article saying that Nexus 5X is available with Dual-SIM in Kuwait. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_eek.gif http://gadgets.ndtv.com/mobiles/news/lg-nexus-5...

Thats a real shame abt lack of dual SIM functionality. I would still recommend reading the Anandtech review of Nexus 6P. This will IMO help you make a better decision www.anandtech.com/show/9820/the-google-nexus-6p...

Actually I never prefer a one plus or yureka. Both have custom rom teams from pa /cm heading their software development. Missing deadlines buggy updates and stuff always is something a normal user won’t be happy with. If given an option one plus would be better because of a larger community behind it but to what extent I don’t know. All the phones are equally capable these days even a 800 chipset with 2 gigs is more than sufficient atleast for the next 1 to 2 years.all these new chipset might improve baseband capabilities, better and more efficient camera and even improved graphics to support 4k displays but nothing much in terms of actual real life performance in terms of multitasking

Oh I agree absolutely. I am not the kind to update every year. Once I get a device I like I will continue using it as long as it lasts!
But its completely unacceptable paying for SD 810 perf only to get SD 615 levels of perf.

@DealSeeker if u buy nexus as a secondary driver than pls tell bye bye to your iphone https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif
Nexus fan here using N5 as a daily driver currently… but not for long after getting my hands on with N6p
i have used both nexus 5x and 6p for a couple of days last week…. and i must say those two are major league devices with no compromise….
if battery is your priority then 6p is way to go…. 5-6 hours SoT is a piece of cake….and can easily be stretched to 7-8 hours with some mods….

In camera department…. both are beast….no doubt

@PaytmKaPoojari @Dr Anshuman @myliferockkss Any reason why none of you have mentioned OnePlux X? https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

BTW, after looking at the comparison of pictures/videos between iPhone (or S6) and the phones in the ~20K budget, I am very disappointed, especially with the image-stabilization and the color reproduction performances. I was under the impression that Android devices now come with much better cameras.

as u know OP is good in cost cutting….
the things i didnt like in op x are
1) hybrid sim slot… u can either use dual sim or one sim + sd….
2) no ac wifi support…this is a deal breaker if u are using a 5ghz as a primary wifi
3) no nfc…. i dont know why they dont add cheap features like nfc…
4) camera is OK if compared to N5x
5) glass back is not for geeks….. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

other thing is… i would have liked SD808 on this device which would then be a killer phone for sure

Is nt it grossly unfair to expect the same imaging quality from a device costing less than half or even one-third as the iphone? Its the same when it comes to SoC. The A9X is actually bigger when it comes to die-size that the Intel Skylake quad cores( notebook variety ).

SD 801 is much better when it comes to sustained CPU perf than 808. But OnePlus it seems is deceptive when it comes to info abt the actual variant of 801 used.

I didn’t expect the same, but I didn’t expect it to be half as good either. Seems like the price and the camera quality are directly proportional. https://www.youtube.com/embed/cmFPo...r8 (you can jump to around 9 minute into the video for camera review)

Pretty much. The BoM for iphone is abt $250 and it retails for 2.6 times( close to 4 times in India and China). For Mi4 its abt $170 and it retailed for $200 in India. Hell even $5 increment for WiFi AC is too much in some cases. #Pennypinching And ofc software optimisations play a big role in imaging quality. Apple with its gazillions can afford it. Hell even the Nexus duo can do with a round of camera optimisations as they are pretty inconsistent in this regard.

+1 and if purely camera performance Is the top most priority to go by u can even have look on Samsung hig end phones. Samsung undoubtedly has spent a lot on this department and if not the latest crop of nexus where camera has finally been given due importance I would suggest you Samsung with heavy heart

Ah Samsung. You take all the fun out of running Android.
Mi Note Pro is surprisingly good and can stand its own against the flagship devices. Hopefully the Mi5 will be as good.

Yes I agree Mi4i camera is good… XIAOMI’s software and good camera hardware will force them giving good camera performance in ample lighting conditions
I am using Mi4(64) , Never even thought in favour of oneplusone

But Now OpoX, I feel it’s great
Check reviews once again now
After updates, IT’S working well

(1) Android dual-SIM device
(2) Clear voice quality (any issues with the voice quality would be a deal-breaker)
(3) Not a selfie guy, but I do want the phone to have a good rear camera with decent performance in (i) zooming and (ii) low-light
(4) Good battery life (don’t need a power hungry, high-performance device)

Please provide your suggestions, guys. While you are at it, please also suggest a good A2DP supporting Bluetooth earphone or headphone.

Opx is a great phone using since month i think if you want a phone with class buy opx its a real beauty, back is finger print magnet you must need a cover or it will slip from your hands. If you such kinda person like to show off your stuff opx is perfect match for u.

Getting 2 gb free ram multitasking is smooth never faced any lag, using for whatsapp only

well haven’t faced any heating issue till now, i have installed two games only,

Camera may be the concern its good but can’t say great but i don’t use phone camera as i have dslr.

Don’t go for any phone with sd 810 processor sd 810 have huge heating issue even the performance will be less as the performance of processor will be throttled down to control heating issue .Sd 801 is a stable processor https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif or get a phone with sd 820 if u can or if u can wait https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
