@DealSeeker I am asking this question because I think you can answer this in a systematic manner. What is the use of spending nearly 1 lakh on a phone (iPhone to be specific). After all it’s just a phone. I haven’t used iPhone but have heard people sayin you can’t do all the stuff that you can on a Android device. @Dr Anshuman What is the use of such high end computing power on a phone. Expecting a neat answer from both.

Opx is a great phone using since month i think if you want a phone with class buy opx its a real beauty, back is finger print magnet you must need a cover or it will slip from your hands. If you such kinda person like to show off your stuff opx is perfect match for u.

Getting 2 gb free ram multitasking is smooth never faced any lag, using for whatsapp only

well haven’t faced any heating issue till now, i have installed two games only,

Camera may be the concern its good but can’t say great but i don’t use phone camera as i have dslr.

Don’t go for any phone with sd 810 processor sd 810 have huge heating issue even the performance will be less as the performance of processor will be throttled down to control heating issue .Sd 801 is a stable processor https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif or get a phone with sd 820 if u can or if u can wait https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Well you are asking the wrong question to the wrong guy. I would nt touch an iphone with a ten feet barge pole. At the same time I can appreciate, albeit reluctantly, the huge gains Apple has achieved in a very short while. You must know that Apple aims to provide software support for atleast 3 years. Thats why an SoC that can serve the near term future is necessary. Plus their investment into custom cores is part of their inevitable move to ARM for their notebooks atleast to beginwith. And lets not forget VR. That will exact perf demands much beyond anything possible today. Did you know Apple has implemented a PCIe NVMe based SSD solution in the latest iphones which hitherto was the exclusive domain of high end gaming rigs and workstations besides servers ofc. Next to the SoC, NAND has the biggest influence on user perceived “smoothness” and one that is in action almost everytime as opposed to CPU and GPU workloads that tend to be bursty in nature( other than games ). The high price of Apple devices is not without justification altogether but not one I am willing to pay in any case primarily due to the walled garden nature of ios ecosystem.

In short, people don’t always spend their money to get the best value for money. When I go and eat a Sunday brunch at Taj for 2K, do you really think my concern is to get the most bang out of my buck? If value-for-money were the prime concern for everyone, nobody would buy a BMW or Audi either.

You see, when people have money to spend after meeting all their expenses and savings budget, they tend to look for quality as the main criteria rather than getting the most bang out of their buck. Hope this answers your question.

Just for the sake of information www.wickedleak.org/content/18-wammy-note-5-regi...
Mediatek Helios P10 paired with 4GB RAM should ensure decent perf. At 17k however, with dubious ASS its hard to recommend IMO.

Yupp I understood. My questions were based on the assumption rich people don’t visit desidime. Let me go a little further, I know there would be some who do it for fun but the nature of the community made me think so.

I knew @DealSeeker was a rich guy but didn’t know he’s capable of spending 2K on a Sunday brunch. Wonder how much he spends for a lunch then. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Not against anyone but if I had been rich I would have used a device which was in no way getting personal information from my activities. Itbwas my 2nd reason to dump Android. I don’t know the security of iPhone but have a d impression after “The Fappening”.
Did anyone watch those videos ? https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Lol the truth came out by itself. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Jokes apart, how about Qiku q terra. I was using Xperia Z Ultra and one of the reason behind it was its screen. I need a big screen as well as performance along with good camera. Can anyone put some light on it as I got a invite and wondering if I should go for that?

Samsung Galaxy A9 with its 6.0" AMOLED display, powered by Qualcomm SD 652 ( 4xCortex A72+4xCortex A53 probably on 14/16nm lithography, should outperform the SD 810 powering the Qiku Terra by a country mile, but GPU perf will be abt half? of it but should not be a problem for a 1080p display ), 3GB RAM,13MP rear camera with OIS, expandable storage and 4Ah battery is a worthy contender. The combination of 1080p resolution and big battery and probable finer manufacturing process should yield excellent battery life. Expected price ~Rs 30-35k. But if the past patterns hold true should drop to abt Rs 25k in 6-7 months. It was high up on my preferred list but the 6.0" display pulled it out of contention( www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_a9_is_official_... ). Plus I also broke my laptop display. So will have to go with a mid-range one now.
