FRANK advise:
- Save the money
- You will get frustrated with cheap tablets.
- Save 6-12k more
- Get BB playbook or HTC flyer (Strongly advise the latter; currently floating around for 21/22k)
- You can try netbooks though (asus has some good ones) for around that 10k+ price tag

yes, you can’t either ask for “‘this’ is what all i need” within that small 10k range, but you need to first make out what exactly you need it for.

I am sure there must be other similar models (of other brands too like acer etc)

Find some low range netbooks, see whether they will work for you.
If not, save(or borrow) & get a good tablet. Its just a time of some more wait.
