hi dude.. i have bought a laptop abt a year back in 28 K … ASUS core i5 ..w/o OS .. 4GB RAM .. HD more than 300GB… and it is a good laptop.. i even had an assembled desktop for quite a time before this…i think u shud go for ASUS .. very good service.. onsite warranty as well…and no hassles of OS.. thats the best part.. i dont pay MS nething…

ya i totally agree with @darshangatta…:
i am planning to buy a laptop from dell with DOS in it,,,it will be very cheap without OS…n install window 7 from dvd which i already hav.
