Need help with planning a budget overseas family trip
Dear Dimers
I wish to do a 4N-5D international trip in first week of Dec with my wife and my 1 yr old son. I want some advise on location and reasonable package..
I was thinking of going to either Dubai or Thailand, but if I book tickets and hotel by myself, it is coming out to be very expensive.. makemytrip is showing some decent Dubai packages for about 40k per person, but it is not all inclusive and I have never taken any fixed package from any travel site in the past, so not sure if they offer good quality..
I request fellow dimers to help me plan and good and reasonable trip.. and if anyone has had a good experience with some travel site, pls do let me know so that I can go by reviews.

Thanks for the revert, Friend. I don’t know any local operator, and the package on offer at Makemytrip is definitely cheaper than if I was to plan a similar trip individually.
Any reviews on makemytrip/yatra/others for holiday package bookings?

I would recommend to go for Dubai. It is much better than Thailand if you are not much into beaches and want to spend some quality 4-5 days. I would say you should go for some local tour operator ask for reference from your friends and take a quote from a local tour operator Makemytrip will charge more due to the commission involve but again you can mention your requirement after that compare both quotes and go for the service which seems better. As for Thailand 4-5 days are not enough. If you want to go Thailand then you can plan on your own it will be much cheaper. Try booking.com for looking for hotels.
