Better to avoid AMD.
What a coincidence i have ordered HP af laptop. It has AMD A8 proceesor wth integrated graphics. so if u r like me whoz addicted to net & u tube and occasional software geeks, with the above config u can sail through u r day easily. btw do u have citi bankcard bro.i have added to cart and pulling all my connections for citi card. even without card the price z agud deal btw. IMHO HP is d 1 if u r aiming for vfm. i have watched u tube vdoz read tons of review and i have selected this one buddy.
Regarding the processor it is on par with intel i3 4th gen and may b less than i3 5th gen. main adv 4 amd:higher clock speed, multi tasking (more cores) and cheap
dis adv: higher power consumption by processor, very high end 3d games might stutter . latest i3 5th gen.
with these disadv i cn liv with this laptop:-D
also buy any lappie b4 july 29 bcoz win 10 will start levying subscription fees and all d online dealers will hike the prices eventhough itz not true.

Yes, heating problem.AMD A8. HP G6. Normal use. More so in case you use Linux, would keep on shutting down in summers even if you dont open any application.
Even i am looking for a budget laptop around 25k,
You can try Dell Vostro model, personally i prefer devices with DOS/Ubuntu because i have like multiple Windows 8/8.1/10 licenses
AMD A8 is better than Core i3 in terms of performance, no idea about stability
Had bad experience with AMD processors but thats like 8 years back
Also you can consider Lenovo Ideapad 100 and few Asus models I3/i5 at 25k
If you are purchasing a ubuntu/dos based laptop, make sure there is official driver support for Windows 7/8/10

Many thanks.
Though some people (+seller from Amazon) have confirmed successful windows installation, some have faced some issues which were resolved post dell customer Care’s help.Dell’s site shows vostro model having windows drivers .(they have not bifurcated the pentium,i3 4th gen,5th gen celeron). Should that be enough, or should I contact dell customer care before hand.

Contacting customer care wont be of much help, probably they will confuse you more
I think there is windows drivers support as there is same core i3 model with windows 10
For OS, you can sign up for windows 10 insider preview its full version but for every 2 or 3 months you have to update to latest version (consumes 3gb bandwidth).
@G@urav dell weighs 3kgs , is it okay for u?

Honestly speaking had not thought about it. Don’t remember weight of my 2007 HCl laptop.(which died some days ago )
Secondly I think in case of Dell, it wud b pirated OS (Regular updates would be cumbersome for me ) , thirdly it has1.7 GHz.
What would you suggest??
3kgs is pretty too much
There are many HP and Lenovo laptops weighing just 2-2.3kgs in this price range
You cant travel anywhere with this laptop
Clock speed doesnt matter much. 4th gen core processors are faster than 5th gen ones
Choose your poison

ps :These are mostly refurnished items and excellent working condition using couple of laptops from them
@G@urav Bro, let me try to help you make a decision by providing multiple perspectives/options.
(1) Let’s address your basic question first. Out of the two laptops you linked, I would certainly go with the Dell one. Reason: HP is notorious for poor build quality and AMD CPUs are notorious for overheating/power consumption which is not an acceptable negative for laptops.
(2) Since your requirements are so low and the budget is so tight, if you could, try to get a used laptop imported from the US. You could get a similar config used laptop from eBay/Craigslist for less than $200 (< Rs. 13,600). If you have a friend/relative in the US, you could even save on or avoid the customs.
(3) Buy a used laptop from eBay.in or a local computer market. Similar config should not cost you more than 17K.
guys, Imho 25k is a big amt for testing in ebay,in . so better u go with fk/amazon. my friend had bad experience with ebay.in. their customare care z a pity. and hey the cashback offer closes tonight @ 12. so get u r links for that citi card. i purchased without citi. and r u an intense gamer? if yes u might want to rejig u r config.

No not a gamer.
I bought HP AC 15-AC122TU core i3 (5th Gen) – (4 GB/1 TB HDD/Free DOS/128 MB Graphics) for Rs. 25164. I tried to get a yes bank card. But no luck. But got 5 percent reduction using debit card. It’s my first laptop. How about the configuration and brand
@ sanuatl, what are u doing for OS. the model and specs are solid but OS part u have to get pirated ones
even if u r hard core gamer, u should be sailing thorugh HD games smoothly.
DOS is the only reason i didnt chose this model.and since u have already bought, above comment doesnt add any value
Config is rock solid for everyday tasks.
HP is a trusted brand so no worries.
the above was my 2 cents
TX.. And pirated OS.. Yes.. Only win 8.1 it’s hard to get drivers for win 7.. Also got 600 Cashback with thirdparty Cashback site
Flipkart has hiked the price by 1000 rs. mine will b arriving today so if u need any favour just ask
