Recently my motherboard was overheated and now it’s dead..I want to buy a new motherboard now with new processor (confused between i3 and i5). .I don’t have much knowledge about motherboard and processors, so need suggestions regarding which motherboard and processor should i opt…Budget is 12k-15k..Don’t need Hard disk, Dvd writer and cabinet..
no bro..its a offline shop..u considr that as market price and compare with prices at ur prices

Bro first descide the processor i ll search u the best motherboard accordingly
m going wid i5 2500k
You will be going with the same i5 2500k because it will cost 12K nearly .. so Motherboard cost now..
is processor price is directly proportional to the motherboard price? If yes, then i think i should go for i3..
Nah not like dat as i said before Z68 are ultimate..
still in your budget there are some i have mentioned some with h67 and h61 chipset
I hv extended my budget and hv decided to go wid z68 but there are many motherboards in that category like ASUS P8Z68-V LE, ASUS P8Z68-M Pro and many other…Which one is the best among them? The maximum amt i can spend on motherboard is around 10k.
I gave u a link of flipkart but its of intel motherboard in your budget @ 8268.
http://www.flipkart.com/intel-dz68db-motherboar...
4 Memory Slots
Maximum 32 GB DDR3
1 HDMI Port
Dual Channel DIMM Memory
6 usb 2.0 ports and 2 usb 3.0 ports
Warranty 3 years same as other brands.
And i ll search and get back to you with ASUS motherboards at that price

I’m not into stuff of overclocking and all…So search motherboard accordingly..I’m a gamer and budget is 22k…The configurations that i have in mind are:
1. i5 2500k + P8Z68-M PRO (just because you are supporting Asus Z68 and it is the only board of z68 series availale on flipkart) + 4gb corsair RAM
2. i3 2120 + intel DH61ww + some graphic card + 4Gb corsair RAM
Which configuration is better?
One more question..I googled reviews of different motherboards and processors and found out that i need a vry good quality SMPS which can cost around 5k bucks and i need to install some cooler master (or stuff like that)..Is that true?
Guys… I request u to stop quoting each other quotes as it will be difficult to access/understand for some
one or two max will be fine …

Depend on your graphics card, you need powerful PSU (SMPS). You get 600W smps from Umax for 1300+ which is okay for normal graphic card.
If you have higher end graphics card, go for Antec or Coolermaster Power Supply with 450/500W (which is way better than 600W normal smps like umax/zebronics)
Z68 is a good choice.. You can always chose an SSD too . Windows loads in 7-8 sec with this processor ! 7500 – 8000rs for 120GB Corsair SSD !
DH61WW is waste in my opinion. DH67BL is much better motherboard. (optical out, usb 3, esata, 6GBbs sata etc etc)
^^
M so confused with these configurations that i actually dont know what i want..
I have a tight budget of 22k..I was assuming that i can use my old PSU (which i had installed in my old desktop), but after a little research i found out that these second generations processors and graphic cards need high quality PSU…So i decided to buy a new PSU and it decreased the proportion of money that i wantd to spend on processor and board..Someone told me to buy Corsair CMPSU-430CXV2UK (It costs 2.5k), because it has an optimum performance
If i buy an i5 2500k, a z68 board (ASUS P8Z68-M PRO) and Corsair CMPSU; the total moves upto 26k (12970 + 10282 + 2536)..That’s out of budget and i cant evn think of buying a graphics card.
If i buy an i3 2120, Intel DH61ww board, Corsair CMPSU and Sapphire AMD/ATI HD7750 (1 GB Graphics Card); the total budget is around 20.5k (7000+3500+2536+7588).In that option i wont be getting an i5 and z68 board.
If i buy an i3 2120, a z68 board (ASUS P8Z68-M PRO) and Corsair CMPSU; the total is around 20k(7000+10282+2536).In this case, i wont be getting any graphic card or i5 processor.
Now i’m confused which tweaks should i do so that the budget fits perfectly..I dont want to save my 2k if can get a better motherboard, processor, GPU or PSU..I still dont know whether ASUS P8Z68-M PRO is a good choice or not..I still don’t know whether using Corsair CMPSU with i5+z8 board is a good choice or not….So m Confused, confused and confused
According to me :-
You should go for a high processor . Because that costs the maximum (other than the motherboard) !
If you are not buying a high end graphic card now (which requires extra power), just be with the decent motherboard.
I5 – 2500K & DH67BL + Graphics Card + 4GB RAM (1600Mhz)
Go for this now . If your graphic card needs a power , see the rating/connection. You can get a basic 600w PSU (Umax) for 1.1K (Nowhere compared to an Antec/Cooler Master).
Next time, you can upgrade the system accordingly…
2500K (make sure you have that ‘K’) is a great processor ..
I think you should be able to build under 22K with above configuration..
The price of the above store will be lesser offline store than online. You need to check ‘Imported by sticker’. Otherwise you will have warranty problems.
If you are in Bangalore, I can help you.

as above said, it all depends on how soon you’re willing to invest again, because sooner or later you will have to upgrade on or the other part.
If you go for a high end motherboard now, you can be assured it wont go obsolete for a while(asus sabretooth). If you arent going to invest sometime soon, and are basically a gamer, go for a decent graphics card, as most games are more gpu intensive than cpu.
And about the cooler master and psu/smps issues? Your older pc died due to overheating, did it not? So that in itself answers your question. A good cooling system with good power management increases your pc life several fold. Hence, is a must.
Honestly though and hd7770 would give you plenty bang for the buck. If you’re into cpu intensive tasks(rendering, editing etc.) go for the AMD FX8150. Otherwise honestly, as long as its a decent cpu that doesnt cause gpu bottlenecking, you dont really have to spend 12-k on it.
To sum it up,
If you cant reinvest for a long period, go for a graphics card+average cpu+good motherboard.
If however you can reinvest at a short term period, go for a 2500k and a good motherboard, and buy a card later.
And
He’s from Jammu, not chennai or bangalore
btw, did ur old mobo have ddr3 rams?

You are suggesting a “K” processor which doesnt make any sense since you also suggest H67 chipset.
The only difference between a “K” cpu & non “K” cpu is that K cpus can be overclocked while non K cpus are locked & cant be overclocked & the H67 chipset doesnt support overclocking. So even with a K cpu he will not be able to overclock because of the H67 motherboard.
If he is getting a H67 motherboard then he should get a non K cpu & save some money.
And according to me for his requirement any i3 cpu will be more than enough he should invest more in the graphics card since he is a gamer.
i purchased last july asus p8h61m plus2 and i5 4cores sandy bridge 3.1ghz processor for 13k.
now get i5 (4cores) ivy bridge and asus mobo they are easily avail for around this rate only
M from jammu…Do they ship to jammu?
