Aircel allows Balance Transfer between mobile numbers.
Maximum is Rs.100.
One can transfer Rs.5/10/25/50/75/100.
The charges are Rs. 1/2/5/8/10/12.
Is there any other Mobile Service Provider giving this facility?
Edit: Forgot about buggy BSNL which we used some 5-6 years back. Thanks Scavenger for your post.

docomo allows charges 14 rs for 101
can someone tell me if i can transfer or convert my mobile balance to some cash or can use to buy something?
i might have to shift to different place and might need to deactivate the connection:-?
Had an off topic question:
I changed my no from Voda to Airtel postpaid (MNP)
Now I want to change the connection name from mine to my Company details, as only then I could get my bill reimbursed.
Airtel says that I cannot make any modifications to my account for 3 months after MNP.
Is there a workaround to this ?
Most of the service providers allow balance transfer. But nowadays it is very hard to find these instructions/process on their website.
Only deterrent is the max amount that you can transfer (usually 30 to 50), high processing charges (atleast 10%) and a daily limit of 3 to 5 transfers.
Regarding USSD codes – again most of them have USSD codes (not for all packs/services) but they do not advertise all the codes on their website. It’s like a secret service, if you call CC they will tell you the codes.

Its a generic condition for all networks, so you have to wait for 90 days to be completed….you can change the details and reimburse your bill after 90 days only….no other options
i think all company provide balance transfer used many times in voda n reliance prepaid.
bsnl charges only 2 per 100, if i am not wrong… docomo also charge less only….
and about activating services… bsnl charges excluding service tax for activation through sms to 53733… for example, if u activate a 96 rs 3g pack only 85 gets deducted from balance, even if u topup for full talktime… sorry if others already know this

This is an OLD one… Am using this service for past 1 year on Aircel…
here is USSD code for this. *122*666# »» Select your amount for transfer »» enter the mobile number »» then it will ask for confirmation.
aircel had max 2rs tranx fee for balance transfer, now they increased to 12
I wonder how some dimer has voted down this thread.
That moron should understand that this thread was meant for sharing info.
It’s not meant to be a loot deal (& was posted in Dost & Dimers forum) for which a few leechers troll DD.

3 to 4 months before they increased charges Rs. 12 on Rs. 100 transfer.

+1 and VU!!..
For Airtel the USSD code to GiftTalktime is *141#
When the Menu comes, dial 1.
Max amount is 101, transfer fees is 14
So total 115 for transferring 101
Minimum amount 5, service charge 2
So total 7 for transferring 5

yes….
Better is transfer from postpaid to prepaid. As when u pay bill u get full money. I am currently using Vodafone post to pre transfer. I guess in other providers also there. For more info refer this link: https://www.vodafone.in/postpaid/pages/postpaid…

It would have been better if mobile balance could be converted to mpay. would have used these balance for shopping and DTH recharge.ishandon wrote:

One more question…
Which service providers allow activation of services thru USSD codes from the balance amount remaining in the mobile no.?
I think all the night plans can be activated thru balance.
Aircel & Airtel allow 2G/3G internet services to be activated thru balance amount.
Idea seriously lacks this facility.
