So,what is or are the alternative(s) of Flipkart now ?

Well, to certain extend most of the points mentioned on the article are true. Flipkart wanted to earn extra money so they introduced the marketplace however they could not have the strong grip on the sellers like ebay or amazon does and neither is flipkart’s claim procedure customer friendly.

I have been a flipkart user for many years now. Must have placed more than 200- 300 orders amounting to quite a lot of money. Here are some of the major cons when it comes to Flipkart.

1) Customer service: I hate this aspect of flipkart. Their customer service people sound like they have never seen training room at all to handle customers. Some of them lack empathy and some are downright rude. Flip-kart’s supervisors are no better either. Only saving grace is their twitter support guys who are nice and gets your job done.

2)Lack of transparency : Flipkart cannot digest negative reviews about them on their website. As per Flipkart’s review policy reviews should be limited to product and not service. If you write positive things about flipkart service in the review it is okay with them but the moment someone mentioned something negative they take the review down. Why double standards?. Flipkart thinks the only place customers can post negative reviews are on flipkart websites. Most of the disgruntled customers will go on and post reviews everywhere online which ends up tarnishing flipkarts image further.

3) 30 days Return policy : 30 days return policy they heavily advertise needs to be taken with a pinch of salt. It only works well with apparels. They will make you run from pillar to post if you need to get an expensive item like a defective mobile phone replaced .In Some of the cases they have asked buyers even to visit service center although their orders are covered by 30 days return policy.

In spite of these Flaws i’m still sticking to flipkart because of no good alternative. for me a known devil is better than an unknown angel. Amazon seems to be getting better and i love amazons return policy. Amazon fulfilled orders seems to be much better than flipkart’s. maybe 1 year down the line i will start shopping everything from Amazon.

The author seems to be really frustrated with Flipkart’s service

All off this is true…. FK sucks big time now and soon its going to be out of business.

And all this is real experience that people have shared, author has not cooked anything…. he has collated the feedback and frustration of customers rather I call it ex-customers.

Hope only the marketplace sellers do this.

I’ve had good service from WS Retail so far. No complaints.

I’ve never shopped from a third party seller till now (will never in future).

Flipkart is like a mistress. Try avoiding which ultimately isn’t possible.

Some points are valid but repetitive in the article.

Marketplace model wasn’t Flipkart’s idea. It was thrust down their throat by the nincompoop Government.

Amazon or Ebay sellers are no better.

The article seems to be 100% true… I myself have experienced atleast 4-5 “shocking” experiences from Flipkart… I ordered a ram once- they sent me wrong one. I returned and they sent me wrong ram again. This happened again, after which I asked for refund and got it…
Delayed deliveries by flopkart is normal even if paid extra… Amazon sent me a book in 15 hours flat last week, despite not paying anything extra…

Thanks everyone, my point is yes everyone has some pros cons, but atleast you can improve on which wholly depends on you yourself, the best example for this is yesterday’s sale.

They advertised like hell, a mail to everyone big sale from 4-6.

They dont know how precious the time of people is.

Aaj ke time me customer aise hi nahi aata, agar aaya hai then they should know how to respect him/her otherwise in the end they will loose, and india me humesha neighbour ki nazar saath wale ke ghar me rehti hai and atlast fir customer wahi chala jata hai, Amazon!

well i think these r minor glitches…certain mischievous sellers do exist but that is irrespective of any website..

also its not that these mistakes did not used to happen earlier…

At the same time were these complaints addressed , is what matters…..

useless Pathetic most worst system of courier. is bluedart. except freebie I cancel delievery of bluedart straight forward.

Hmm i don’t know why you could not connect to blu dart. I had to call them couple of times and it each it was connected with any hold time. I’m not sure if service is based on area. here in South Delhi blu dart service is top notch. Never faced any issues.

Seems asking for Docs is illegal to me. But no national helpline make it useless to lodge complaint.

Why not Share bluedart Contact of Delhi-NCR for community than?

I want to try that number once. Coudn’t ever talk to anyone except local Courier Guys.

Bluedart no 18602331234 does not work on aircel(and maybe on some other networks also). 1860 is a paid number charging Rs 2-3/min

I use vodafone no to connect on that number.

i wanted to return a school bag i bought and for that they asked so many questions….. they also told their return policy does not cover my request… and atlast they accepted to give flipkart credit only as a one time exception for being our valued shopper
