**Bought a Lenovo laptop for 50k, its dead next day. Now Lenovo CC are not replacing machine. Plz help me guys.

Hi guys,
My friend bought a laptop “Lenovo ideapad 500s” for Rs.52,000 from Lenovo Showroom, Nehru Place. Within 2 days, LAPTOP got dead. He visited nearest Lenovo service centre where they said its mother board problem so consult " on site warranty" after consulting on site warranty “lencare” website and sending emails. They responded so late and said engineer will visit and going to check whether its DOA or not, finally after 15 days engineer came home and declared its DOA and they packed it , applied some sticker and said to keep it with yourself,
And wait for DOA certificate that will come in 2-3 days. Now its been 5 days , and nobody came for DOA certificate.
Today i got an email that, “we can not replace machine , contact to your dealer from you have purchased.” And on dealers bill its mentioned that " Goods once sold can not be taken back or exchanged "
My friend is mentally tortured by lenovo people.
Now what to do ? He want his money back or replacement.
Please help me guys.

I tried calling shopkeeper also, he told me to send all details in mail, then they will proceed only. (Again long process) seems he won’t help me. somebody help me.

Hell, that is too much of these people.
But you must be having the remarks of the engineer on the receipt which he gives post checking the device. Send that too Lenovo and ask for replacement else threaten them to take them to the consumer court. No other option.

I don’t see that happening anytime soon. I still am unable to convince my cousin who despises online shopping and thinks they are cheats selling rejected goods . Whatever I buy his first comment would be asking me to be prepared for going to the service centers and this has been happening from 2-3 years (at least now he has stopped commenting on the authenticity). Anyway these shops have to become more customer oriented rather than forcing the govt to “regulate” e-commerce.
Send a legal notice to service center or concerned. probably u will get issue settle with legal notice else proceed to consumer court.

alternate method – go to shop and ask him to contact his distributor as in Nehru place most sellers have connected landline no with distributor . so distributor can force lenovo to make a DOA .

Have maximum number of proofs and their copies!
Looks like lenovo is still ignoring customers instead of improving customer service.
