@DealSeeker What do you think? Since your alerts almost always carry additional important details about the deal, they are kind of justified. But people having some amazing channel names writing at the end, “Subscribe here” irritates me like anything.

These days going through any thread in hot deal section and coming across series of VU & suggested is just a serious pain. Like OP mentioned, why not use the click of the mouse to VU and suggest.

Another kind of frustrating posts i come across very commonly is " i have seen this stuff in this website 100 days ago for 5 rs less. I mean, come on. If you don’t like a deal, use a Vote down button or simply move on to next deal. Nobody wants to know how much was the price you saw for something ages go. One needs to understand that there is a logic behind E commerce pricing which depends on so many factors such as festive , competitors price, decline in supply etc etc.

I wanted to add a few more points but feeling too lazy on a nice breezy sunday morning.

One person even went from calling himself my “student” to never speaking to me again when I pressed him to not use such self-promotion. It’s a different matter that he probably realized the error in his ways later, stopped doing the “subscribe here” thing, and went on to run one of the most successful channels here.

Not sure if abhinav did this intentionally but some deal lieutenants and deal captains followed this trick to get free karma

@masthead1 Strict rules imply less foot fall and no rules means anyone can post garbage i.e content. So content quality is secondary, first priority is business baba

Would you leave this site if you are getting benefits and if you are banned from posting? Many of us wouldn’t and we would most probably create a new account if we get banned by our ignorance (admins give us enough chances I guess?). Few post such non-sense comments for Karmas, for some its more about the race they won in getting a PE, many want to thank but don’t know they can by voting up or giving the deal poster some Karma and the list goes on.

By tightening the screws these people would refrain from posting such non-sense posts but still the foot falls won’t go down. Do you think ppl come here to post such one liners? No they just want good deals and they post because it is ok to do that.

To clarify OP is not talking about the deals people post and only talking about the posts in the deals which would only bump up dead deals to the top. I mostly never go beyond the second page of the hot deals section and have missed few good deals which I required and most of them didn’t.
