Details regarding Thailand visa

I am planning to visit Thailand with my family. Wanted to know how the visa process is. I guess Indians are eligible for Visa on Arrival.

1) What is the process to get Visa on Arrival?
2) Is it done after landing in Thailand?
3) What all documents are to be carried?
4) What all documents are to be submitted while boarding the flight from India? Just the passport?

Any help would be helpful as this is my first international trip https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

No process as such. The visa is issued to you upon your arrival at BKK or UTP.

2) Is it done after landing in Thailand?
Yes.

3) What all documents are to be carried?
Passport, your return/onward ticket for departure within 15 days, 1 passport size photo, 1000 Thai Baht visa fee, and a hotel booking are enough.

4) What all documents are to be submitted while boarding the flight from India? Just the passport?
Nothing. They will just check your passport. All the documents are inspected upon arrival in Thailand. You will get the arrival/departure card in-flight.

Moreover, you can apparently now apply for visa on arrival online (not personally tested yet). See: https://extranet.immigration.go.th/voaonline/vo...

@priyasuresh Just one more thing. Try to get a flight which arrives in Thailand during off-peak hours (i.e. after 12pm) otherwise be prepared to waste as much as a couple of hours standing in a queue for the Visa On Arrival during early-morning rush hours.

Ahh!! I regret not posting this thread yesterday. I have already booked flight (today morning), and it reaches early morning at Don Muang Airport, Bangkok!! As early like 4 AM in the morning. Can’t complain now!! No issues, we can wait https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif Researching about places to visit in Bangkok and Phuket. Don’t really want to spend much in Thailand as we are visiting Bali and Singapore too!! Guess shopping and stuff can be done mostly in Singapore than in Thailand.
