@5amar31 DigiPurse VCC would do the job. Keep in mind that the first load amount has to be 500 or more. Also, they take 24 hours to reflect the loaded money so plan accordingly.

Can that account be later converted to DigiSavings? Because I’m planning to open that soon.

You are confusing DigiPurse with Digibank. DigiPurse is the wallet from Union Bank of India and is not related to Digibank in any way.

AFAIK, only DigiSavings physical DC is an international card; you can’t use Digibank virtual card internationally. So if you can wait for the Aadhaar and the biometric verification for the DigiSavings account then, yes, you can simply go with that.

On the other hand, if you are in a hurry, DigiPurse VCC would be better as you can open and fund the wallet today and use it tomorrow.

Yes, I do use it. Did a transaction just yesterday. They had issues in earlier days. It’s working fine for quite sometime now. But I do hate their so-typical-of-government-banks policy of waiting-for-a-day for funds to be reflected.

By the way, DigiPurse app does not work on rooted devices. Well, it’s not supposed to.

As earlier they didn’t have any 3d secure code and otp for international transaction
But now they have it so it won’t work on international websites

Yes I used to regularly buy from international website using digipurse today morning just 15-20 min ago I was making a purchase but not working
It’s from last 2-3 days I thought that might be some technical issues but they have made it compulsory to enter otp for international websites also which international websites don’t support so it won’t work

@5amar31 best option is to get a kotak jifi account… some users of digisavings have reported that their card is not working on international sites…..

digipurse was the only vcc which supported international payments…

Dont rely too much on DBS Digisavings. I am unable to login to my account for the last one and a half month. Similar problem was there in May as well, and still it is unable to rectify it.

Now when I try to reset it, it says unable to find associated digibank account.

Similar issue was there in May, but was resolved within 2-3 weeks. This time more than 6 weeks have passed, issue still there. Debit card can be used, but login to app won’t work.
