Again don’t say tata sky is the “best” as I have both tata sky and videocon. Both have similar pricing and increase of base packages price was first done by tatasky which was followed by Videocon. There have been lots of complaints against tatasky about them converting discounted long term plans to daily plans without you making any changes which doesn’t happen with Videocon (check DD and google on this). Also Videocon set top box, the GUI (but lags a bit), the remote (RF) are good along with recording option inbuilt into the basic HD box itself. Videocon quality be it SD or HD is a lot better than Tatasky and have used the same HD TV for comparing it. Though it might not make a difference to many, tatasky cable has to be without any discontinuity (use of any connectors will not render the signal). But with videocon use of connectors wont affect the signal (but again its always better to have a direct line).

Agree 100%. Also Videocon service is somewhat faster because they have fewer customers as of now.
