1st of all, you must have shared the names of the products that you have used. 2ndly, many types of hairfall are irreversible. Thyroid problem can be another cause of hairfall. You should consider to consult a good doctor. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

1st step check if you have male pattern baldness (caused due to dht harmone. If that is the case it is impossible to treat. propecia is dangerous as it messes with manliness). If your hair fall reasons are like scratching unconciously at night times (morning you will wake up with burning scalp and lots of hair loss in shower/ during coming) due to below fungal infection+ sweating then,

check if you have any of these fungal conditions :
1. scalp psoriasis (thick scaly inflammed scalp)
2. sebhorric dermatitis (thin silvery greasy scalp scales)
3. tinea capititis (looks almost similar to sebhorric dermatitis but cannot be treated by topical medicines/ shampoos. needs tablet intake for cure)

Hair will be lost in those areas when combing with any of the above 3 conditions in your scalp. Also hair will be lost due to the itching reason mentioned in 1st paragraph (form of ‘traction alopecia’)

Solutions :
1. avoid highly foaming shampoos like clinic plus, sunsilk, etc., More the foam, more the lauryl sulphates they use in the shampoos. it will dry out your scalp and cause the above 3 fungal infections. Never shampoo daily with those shampoos (u will 100% get any/ all of those fungal infections if you shampoo daily with those heavy lathering shampoos which you think are easy to clean hair). even avoid head and shoulders.

2. If you already have / are diagnosed with any of those 3 fungal infections then never touch above shampoos and shampoos with the word ‘moisturizing’ written over them. Go for tea tree oil (5%) shampoo. Never use ANY oil/ gel/ hair creams/greasy stuff while having any of those conditions as those fungi need certain fatty acids for survival and you will be making the condition worse. this is the reason people with those conditions have naturally greasy hair with their scalp’s sebaceous glands overworking because of those fungi and also damp environment is favorable for them.

3. If you do not have frontal hairloss and if it is only on top go for rogaine foam 5% for men. minoxidil is the only proven working medicine in the entire world for hairloss. All those ervamatin, induleka hair oil, etc are bogus trying to cheat customers out of their money. Rogaine does not work if you have male pattern baldness/ have frontal hairloss.

4. Eat atleast 1 tea spoon of dates syrup per day. After correcting all above problems and with a healthy scalp, when combing hair if you find hair coming out, check the root. If you find ‘thin white club shaped bulb’ there is no need to panic. that hair strand has gone thru its life cycle and will be replaced by new hair. If it is anything without bulb then it is hair breakage. If bulb is relatively thicker/ see dandruff particles sticking in root/ surrounding that hair strand then u had combed an area with dandruff and hair fell. correct it.

Hope all these points are useful to you. Each and every point and products mentioned is written from my personal actual experience. (only thing out of my actual experience in this reply is I heard thru ‘hearsay’ that dr.batra’s hair treatments are fraudulent)

Most of my hair was lost due to scratching at night due to those conditions (more than 50% was lost on top in diffuse thinning pattern and my scalp started to become visible in sunlight/ bathroom lighting for the past 3-4 years). I Started using rogaine after correcting my “fungal conditions” since 2012 december.

Here are the progress photos (with flash on and same lighting and hair length) with my usage with rogaine foam 5% for men. I take photos every month to see if it really works or if I am simply wasting money. I use rogaine foam only once at night and wash off with himalaya tea tree oil volume and bounce shampoo at morning and make sure it is completely fan dried. They say it takes rogaine 1.5 years to completely restore hair. just praying to God that I get back my old full hair.

Disadvantages of rogaine foam :
1. makes hair very dry and stiff after few minutes of application. so better to apply before sleep. wash it off within 12 hours as I ve many times seen few thick hairs with no bulb (hair breakage due to brittleness) coming out when washing if left more than 12 hours. Also their official suggested minimum application time is 4hours only for desired absorption. So I shampoo my hair gently rubbing the scalp the 1st thing in morning and make sure to completely wash off the shampoo (himalaya tea tree oil volume and bounce).
2. costly. I buy in global ebay (around 1000rs for 1 month can. other brands like kirkland are cheaper but I am afraid of undesired effects while changing brands)
3. There will be shedding of thin hairs in the initial 1-2 months of use. But its all for the greater good. Now hair is relatively thicker and only 1-10 hair comes out when combing (those with thin club shaped white bulbs).
4. have read many many online stories of how people lost hair after 3 months of stopping rogaine. My research in reading numerous random experiences has led me to 100% believe it is true. So make sure to use it life long. I got used to applying only once a day in contrary to twice a day suggested application from the 1st day and still it works.

in addition to what dealpimp said

a) stop smoking right now.
Smoking in any form triggers change in DHT metabolism which results in shrinking of hair follicles and damage to dermal papilla(thing which is responsible for hair growth). Hair growth is inversely proportional to the amount of DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) formation in body. If my any means your DHT metabolism has changed it can be medically controlled. But doing so is not advised as playing with DHT leads to many serious problems including male breast cancer.

b) if its genetic i.e. if one’s father / forefathers had this problem then one has no option than to enjoy the legacy . If ur age is below 35 and u ever will think of transplant, get it done right away as there are less complications at this age.

c) All medications like rogaine, Minoxidil, Dutasteride and Finasteride have side effects that persist even after treatment is over. You leave the medication the hair leaves you.

d) Get your diet right. See an expert tricologist or skin expert.

Best of luck https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif

Dealpimp’s post is mostly correct. The two most popular medicines that have supposedly been proven to work are Propecia (Generic: Finasteride) and Rogaine (Generic: Minoxidil).

Propecia, is said to have some serious side effects like depression, erectile dysfunction, lowered libido and so on. However, these side effects are very controversial and debated upon a lot by users of the drug. There’s also the question of whether the side effects are persistent or not. Many admit to having the above mentioned side effects, but claim they went away when the medicine consumption was stopped. I personally think that it’s subjective and varies from person to person. Don’t take my word for it though; I’ve been putting off my PhD in “finasteride side effects” for quite some time now owning to the large blobs of text and mixed opinions. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif

The other one, minoxidil, doesn’t really have any serious side effects except for maybe slight swelling of the face. Again, nothing that will hugely interfere with your life.

I plan on taking minoxidil and skipping Finasteride. I’ll take it someday maybe, but not until I completely figure out the risks and susceptibility of the side effects. I value my manhood.

I don’t find any side effects with rogaine. I ve been using it once a day for almost 8 months now. there is no swelling of face. Also man parts are working completely fine even after applying rogaine every night. I ve known people from hair loss forums using rogaine for 10+ years and they have kids. So I can confidently say rogaine has no side effects. Just make sure u dont apply it when u r sweating a lot after exercise, etc., and let it get into eyes because of the flowing sweat. Even after washing your eyes at such times they will turn red for a couple of days. Stay away for from fin and propecia at any cost as I ve read so many genuine reviews of how they mess with manhood.

Also on a personal note, whenever I see this ervamatin ad in the TV I get irritated https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_evil.gif I had used it for 1+ years and had seen no progress. It is annoying to see companies making money using the insecurities of people like hair loss and cheat them of their hard earned money. I bet no one became fair after using ‘fair and lovely’ for the last 10+ years. but still they are making crores of $$$ enough to pay for TV ads. people must do research and use logical reasoning before buying beauty products. Wonder why the Govt doesnt take action against false promising products and let people sue them for a heavy compensation like USA when they are not working as promised. I have lost a lot of money and time on these fake promise products. I even bought and used hairmax laser comb a couple of years before. Nothing happened. When I think of that now I feel like an idiot similar to holding a torch light over your head for few minutes thinking hair will grow. I want those company owners to be burnt alive in hell. Rogaine company owner alone should goto heaven.

Try consulting Doctors of Vcare. They charge heavily but may find some results.
I am getting treatment frm Vcare. My hair fall reduced and i think i might get new hair in few days.
But just remember that treatment may or may not give u good results. Results vary from person to person..

Go to Vcare only if u r ok with finance part.
