How do I use my existing wifi router as a wifi adapter without flashing a custom firmware such as DD wrt on it?
I have a tp link wr 740 n

Normally when you make your phone wifi hotspot, then you can directly use internet of phone to PC.

Configure your router to be a bridge, then configure it to connect to an upstream router. Connect the downstream (bridge) router to your pc using Ethernet cable.

Easier way – Change your intentions and buy this or something similar : http://www.ebay.in/itm/TERABYTE-Mini-Wireless-W...

USB tethering :
1)
connect the given wire’s Micro usb side to mobile and USB to computer/pc.

2)
In Mobile, Settings => more (next) to wifi i think => enable “USB tethering”

Now you’re able to use internet in pc without installing anything in your pc…..

+++++++++++

Wifi bridging :

1)
Decide place and give electricity :
Move your mobile and find the place in your home which getting higher signal (more signal = high speed in 4G) ,Give supply/power connection to mobile and router

then follow this steps

bridge from PC to router works but USB tether wasn’t constant so got Tp link adapter from Amazon for 399₹ it’s great.
