Since almost all my channel providers have either stopped sending alerts or are very inconsistent and I don’t see any other channel worth subscribing so I am making this thread where I would like to add deals and discounts which I find worthwhile (others are free to join). I am not making a channel of my own because I am not online most of the time. I will keep adding deals to this thread whenever I find a good one but will link to the original thread so that credit would be intact with the original poster. I don’t want FPDs. If one finds a discrepancy he/she is advised to point it out to me I would rectify ASAP. The purpose of this thread is to help in general and save time.

P.S. Please don’t add comments like Vu/suggested or not relevant to the purpose because I am trying to make a thread where one can find deals without having the need to scroll umpteen pages. So please refrain from such comments and keep the thread clean.

Vaibhav finds time to chit-chat on the deal thread but won’t send a n alert and most often spend his quota of alerts on irrelevant things. DimerAbhi has declared his channel as closed now. Billa ajit is less active and Nigel’s channel I don’t find that worthy either. There are deals like this posted 3 days back but none found it worthy enough to send an alert. I had this in my mind for quite a while and the reason is

1. when I login I find many worthy deals but am unaware of them because didn’t get time to login, those threads get pushed back and sometimes even get lost.

2. Many a times I login just once a day and want to know what did I miss or catch the gist in a jiffy but can’t do that because the FPD page only displays only those deals that get promoted.

3. One of the biggest flaw of DD you can’t find an offer easily and the ‘hot deals’ section is so crowded that deals which run for say a month are often forgotten.

Let me first make something clear, which is probably not known to you. Every channel operator is limited to send only 5 alerts per day. So we have to be picky. I always am picky, regardless of this limitation. But, lately, I have tried to send all 5 alerts.

Now let me try to address your grievances for my channel. As usual, you have jumped to a quick conclusion/generalization. I empathize with your inability to utilize Grofers, but it’s now the most widely available grocery-ordering service in India and perhaps the largest. Such a thread would indeed be helpful, but this is a gigantic task even for a group of 2-3 people. I think I was the first one to embark on a very similar mission, but I realized the difficulties and the lack of contribution from the community early on. I didn’t want to discourage @thrifty_indian so I didn’t mention any of these things to him, but I am sure he also realized that he bit more than he could chew.

I apologise for backing out but it was because I got very less response and even less contribution. Indeed It’s not a small task and for a person like me (with a full-time job) it’s almost impossible.
