That’s bad to hear. Didn’t you try reaching the next level up in the hierarchy? Should have taught that moron a good lesson on how to respond to a customer, whether he is a receiver / a sender.

I just thought he has a valid point about me not being their customer directly. I was not the sender and they really had no obligations to me. Just that it was an ebay 50% off something and everyday they would update that my address was not “locatable”, I tried escalating. Then later on thought nothing was going to happen and reached ebay who were of course answerable.
OK , finally got in touch with IP customer care , after a bit struggle.The article tracking is still stuck , but the lady at the end told that due to some airline booking issues and overload they have re-routed the parcel by surface mode and tracking will get updated in coming days and i will get delivery .
P.S – If anyone needs phone number of IP amazon division (Bangalore) , can pm me .

Whatever you say about private services, it all depends on how the local delivery team behaves. Blue Dart and FedEx, as companies, have the best system devised in the world. They have a reputation to keep up.
For me, ATS sucks a lot because of the local team head here. Can you believe that? But the system devised by ATS is fine as it is.
With India Post, it’s exactly the opposite. The officials (up in the hierarchy) won’t give a damn about your complaints. Very rarely one or two clerical cadre members will respond to you properly. That’s all.

Once i left bad feedback on bluedart delivery as the delivery boy had left the parcel with hostel watchman without informing me. I got a call from local bluedart manager apologizing for the same. Bluedart has good service.

I have some friends working in India Post. Through them I can pass the complaints to respective officials in person. Much faster than normal complaints.
