Check PM.

I have diners that gives unlimited excess in domestic, and five times international access.

Any card giving unlimited internationally?

One more question in domestic access only one person is allowed per card we have to give card and enter pin they deduct 2-3rs.
Can that card can be used in same lounge by any other family member after 5-10mins??

As they don’t check name on card and boarding pass.

(1) Diners Club Black card provides unlimited domestic as well as international lounge access.

(2) Yes, the lounges require one card per person if you go in a group. But, yes, the same card could be used again after a few minutes. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

(3) Sometimes, they do check the name on the card with the name on the boarding pass so whatever trick you have in your mind will not always work. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

CC @cybertechie

did u ever try to enter in group by using same card again and again

No, but I did use the same card to enter the same lounge myself within a few hours. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

Now don’t ask for the story behind how or why I did that.

I think Mumbai has two lounges but I had a good experience with lounge at Mumbai.

the only thing here in India is alcohol is not complimentary in these lounges.

I prefer to travel by train wherever possible and overnight journey is available. 1st AC in train is far more comfortable than flight.
But yes, among the various airport lounges used, T3 is better, particularly the Amex one at T3.

1st AC is great. I would any day choose a 1AC ticket for a short 7-8 hours journey over a business class ticket. Although would love to have airlines service in trains but that ain’t happening anytime soon. for longer journeys of 10+ hours, my choice would always be a flight.

BTW, some of the luxurious buses are also very comfortable. I particularly like Scania Metrolink and volvo B9R. Mercedes sucks though.

I’m glad it’s not. I would hate to sit besides a guy reeking alcohol odor in a closed environment such as an aircraft.

I am not saying that everyone has to get drunk if they are having an complimentary alcohol too. Its a complimentary thing everywhere outside India. Even on international flights its complimentary. I don’t think it should be a big deal.

Yes, the lounges at the international terminals in India I have flown from (DEL, BOM, HYD, BLR) do serve complimentary drinks. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif CC @anilenggworks77964 @cybertechie

@panchabhut I agree with you. The Amex lounge at T3 Delhi is perhaps the best airport lounge in India. The best part is that this lounge is not overcrowded like the other ones (Plaza Premium!) and they offer both a snack buffet (for travelers in a hurry) and a full restaurant style service. And the entry is free for JetPrivilege Platnium members as well. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

@nifty11 You didn’t mention whether you are flying domestically or internationally. Anyway, with Diners Club, you basically have two choices at both the terminals — Plaza Premium and Above Ground Level.

Since this would be your first time, I would recommend you to go well in advance. If you can manage to get at least 90 minutes after clearing the security check, then you can try both the lounges. Assuming you are flying domestically, both the lounges are located opposite Gate 1 on the mezzanine level. They are right in front of each other. But you’d need to go down to the ground floor and then take another elevator/set of stairs to go from one lounge to the other.

Now to answer your questions/doubts, no pre-booking is required. You just walk to the reception and hand over your credit card. For Plaza Premium, there is usually a constant stream of passengers walking-in, so they don’t bother checking the boarding card.

As for the differences between both the lounges, they have pretty much similar food options for breakfast. But I like the ambience at AGL better. Moreover, their live desserts counter is their USP. CC @cybertechie

Enjoy!

I recently started using lounges. Enjoyed thoroughly at AGL but never saw any dessert counter. Is it the one next to live counter where dosas and chats are made?

I have been there twice. The first time, however, I was shocked with all the free food for such a steal price. I almost felt guilty for eating. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

I have no idea if international lounges have some different rules here in India. I fly from T3 Delhi and use plaza premium they don’t have any complimentary drinks I am specifically talking about the alcoholic ones rest soft beverages are complimentary.

But outside India you can have the most expensive wines/beer/whisky/rum or whatever your flavour is without spending any bucks. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Yes, complimentary alcoholic drinks are indeed offered at the lounges located in the international terminals. Moreover, the seating/food options are also different.

As for premium alcoholic drinks being served for free in the lounges abroad, it depends, bro. Not all the lounges abroad have premium alcoholic drinks. The same goes for the airlines. Most international airlines charge $5 per drink from economy class passengers. CC @heisnotdifferent196

Here is my story, I was at Atlanta and everyone was so caring and affectionate. Even for the drinks they offered which one should I try as per my taste. I was flying with Virgin and no issues were there. You can consume as much alcohol as you want and obviously flights don’t stock good alcohol so I generally avoid them on board but in lounges I do try native beer and premium brands.

I had the same experience with Delta, United though keeps a tab like an hour and no frequent consumption of Alcoholic beverage.
