Need help to buy Fishing Rod

Can someone suggest me some good fishing rod for casual fishing. I am not a regular or a pro. Just thought of buying one. I will be using if for fishing in local river. Not sure what else to mention.. Please let me know if anyone has any experience.

I own a good amount of fishing equipment all bought from ebay india and Aliexpress (AE) .
AE is the cheapest and stuff is of very good quality.
Firstly you need to study what fish are there in the spot you identified. find their food so the bait, find the hook size required, find the lure used (all from locals) .
yiu can use an empty coke bottle, fishing cord, hook and bait to start; max cost rs. 14 ( no jokes) once you get the hang if it buy the rod which is complicated to use.
A goan NRI helped me set the rod and spooler because its not as easy as seen on YouTube.
very frustrating at start if without help from an expert.
