Reliance Jio Launched…
More details are coming shortly
RelianceJio to offer free services till December 2016.!!!
Tariffs: Have always put customer first. Jio tariffs are built on three principles. 1) customer should play for only one service — voice or data. So all voice calls will be absolutely free.
1 GB for Rs.50.. wow!
students will get 25% extra data with valid ID card
Free all India roaming.
Don’t get excited too much for that JIO Apps free till Dec 2017
Without Data pack, apps are useless and those apps will work only with JIO network

Non Volte phones need jio join app which must be connected to jio internet all the time?
So how do we use our Broadband Wi-Fi with the phone?? We won’t be able to make or receive calls when on WiFi
Also no 1 GB/2 GB plan
Don’t think other operators need to worry that much. Although price drops is indeed awaited
Whatsapp or hangout, for voice calls
As for VoLTE only, if JIO cannot ensure good enough 4G coverage nationwide it’ll definitely flop, if not immediately then 5yrs from now, but all this is just speculation atm

Here are some Help articles from Jio to get some insights:
Data will be charged for Jio apps usage
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/jio-preview-offer...
No clarity on JioNet Wi-fi data packs. But recharge section has link for Wi-fi Hotspot
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/jionet/w...
Not sure if JioFi will have separate plans but someone with Employee ID can check
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/jiofi/wh...
This one suggests JioFi may have unlimited data with speed reduction after FUP quota
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/jiofi/my...
When connected to Jio LTE network and Jionet for calls, you will only pay for the minutes and not the data consumed – This is for JioJoin and may apply for VoLTE calls too
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/jio-join...
Video calls will not consume data
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/HD-Voice...
…. but don’t Video calls require data? I thought it requires data connection but this article says otherwise
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/HD-Voice...
Similarly voice call also does not require data connection – so probably no data charge for voice call
https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/HD-Voice...
Postpaid plans starting at Rs.499

Are you sure? As per that table, it’s only for Wi-Fi. Also, just read the following FAQ on Jio’s own website which suggests that they will give unlimited throttled speed after plan FUP data. https://www.jio.com/en_US/faq/services/jiofi/my...

plan is not good, its like any other service operator, first they recovered data preview offer costs from lyf handsets and now price is high and again normal people like me can’t afford , reliance 3g costs me 1200 per month 10 months, now price will become 1000, so, nothing good at all, I recommend ISP’s broadband service is still cheap and don’t forget speed of Jio is not good at all after too many connections speed will decrease further, their night time starts from 2-5 am,so that only 6% off their users will use it at night, talking about free calls they are smart they said one will be charged calls or data , and they are giving calls free which hardly costs 100-200 pm, so they made smart move by giving it free first, now they will give at 125/GB and after 6-7 months price will be increased by 25-40%, very disappointed through it.
@DealSeeker wrote:Check the 299 plan, it is 2gb+4gb. So, 6gb data for 300. He also said that more usage will reduce the price, so it is less than this for more expensive plans. What say?

That Rs.129 plan makes sense now. AGM video showed Rs.199 valid for 7 days but daily pack is priced at Rs.19 which means it will cost only Rs.133 if you renew it daily for a week as against Rs.199 plan.
299 plan seems cheaper than 499 plan for 84 days if you are willing to forego few GBs (1.33GB for 28 days)

If I remember correctly, Mukesh said current operators charge anywhere between Rs.4000 to Rs.10000 per GB but we will be offering at less than one-tenth of that price. I think he was referring to PAYG rates here so it could be 50p/MB.or less than that or we may have only data packs instead of PAYG rates.
Night means 2 to 5 am
Prev for BSNL it used to 12 to 6
then for some it changed to 2 to 8am
now 2 to 5

I’m also feeling same. Rs.50 Per GB is not a data revolution as it was being labelled. But it definitely was a voice revolution.
- Why should heavy data users pay Rs.5000/month for 75gb data? ACT and others are offering same for below Rs.1500/month.
- No unlimited plan. Broadband providers are offering good speeds even after FUP.
But jio is great for:
- Heavy voice call users.
- Lite data users. Airtel & others charge crazy rates for using data without plan, but jio charges just 5paise/mb.

I see some users are still not happy with the plans
And they will never be happy even if get everything for free.I mean Every Telecom operator is here for business not charity.
And jio already gave enough of free data and calls in the testing phase.
And in few months they will have the their plans active and hopefully bring more data packs.May be they have kept that UNLIMITED USAGE plans for FTTH which will soon be available in Mumbai and Delhi.
But overall pricing is better than AVoId
Can’t imagine how Chortel gave 250/Gb (3G/4G) and users had no option but purchase it.
Now their rude behavior towards customer will ultimately change or they gonna loose large amount of users and are already loosing heavy revenue from data packs.
+1

It was almost certain that RJIO won’t go for insane data pricing and we shouldn’t even expect that. For all us heavy data users its the broadband after the “honeymoon” period is over. For those who can’t get a good broadband connection and if BSNL 3g works you definitely have a 1100 unlimited plan.

I think Rs.50/GB rate was based on the base data tariff of 5piase/MB.

Back of the sim card pouch also mentions the same but nothing has been confirmed as of now by Jio as far as ‘pay as you go’ plan is concerned.
“If you are not paying for it, you’re not the customer; you’re the product being sold.”
