it has been a few months that i have been contemplating gifting something to a senior relative couple.
While the Uncle is more of the kind who listens to Indian Classical (mostly Hindustani.. rarely but still Carnatic also) and bit of Light music

the Aunt isn’t particularly fussy in music and even has penchant for film (old) music as also whatever finds its way in her whatsapp etcetera

now the thing is:

He is a connoisseur and rather shy of carrying these things around = makes him a home listener but also needs good bass if Instrumental music has percussion (say, tabla)

She: gifting her something like a portable mobile speaker ONLY makes sense if it has a call receive feature aka mic

today (26-July-2016) by chance Amazon is selling is the Logitechs at under 1300 for x50 and a lil above 1300 for X100

I had my heart on JBL Flip (either of the variants) but not the deep pockets,

so i had almost made-up my mind to order a simple Portronics and a JBL Pro

should i rather upscale my pocket (budget) and just buy one speaker that marries a reasonable bass with mic feature ?

If yes, then which brand and which model ?

Piyush typical Indian question for you Sir .. that 800-1000rs price for X50 was an anomaly/ one time lucky offer or can sub-1000INR prices again be expected ?

2] i have not faced issues with Logitech service for keyboard mice, but JBL users give good feedback for and turn around times seem to be about 6-7 days for JBL repairs
so is it not good ??

of-course i heard both, the JBL Go and Flip but not in ideal conditions or with music of my choice/ test file. so i am not sure.
[everytime ’twas either a crowded showroom or with a fellow commuter on noisy public transport]

yes. @raghupro and @DealSeeker told me that they paid some (undisclosed) amount to a few Tech Team members (and i think also to @admin ) and like 2 month free AmazonIN Prime, they won’t see its dance for two months.

but then all three (admin, Raghu, DS) belong to Apple religion (gotra: iPad)

things are still a bit dicey for say, users of Opera Mini on certain Symbian or even older devices.
