Narsingh Yadav slapped with four-year ban by CAS, out of Rio Olympics 2016

The Court of Arbitration for Sport has banned wrestler Narsingh Yadav for four years. Narsingh, who had tested positive for an anabolic steroid — methandienone, was earlier given a reprieve by India’s National Anti-Doping Agency, which accepted his claim of conspiracy.
However, the World Anti-Doping Agency, which has been strict on doping since the Russian doping scandal, appealed against the decision to CAS, the highest tribunal in sports. CAS heard the arguments of both sides and arrived at the decision that the there was no strong base to accept the conspiracy claim.
