JIO Q and A

These are some answers I managed to get.

Q What is this unlimited night 4g thing?
A Free night data on Reliance Jio is applicable from 2am-5am.

Q Will there be any data/voice/sms limitations under welcome offer?
A NO.It is truly unlimited untill 31st Dec 2016.

Q Will all current JIO sim/lyf/JioFI/JIOlink users get unlimited services till 31st DEC 2016?
A Yes.

Q. Where would I get JIO sims after 5th Sept?
A Reliance Jio SIM Cards will be available at Small Retailers & Mobile Recharging Outlets across India apart from reliance digital stores.

Q. Would I need any barcode/4g phone to get JIO sim after 5th Sept?
A No.Just walk into any of your nearest retailer shops/recharging outlets/RD stores with required documents and get the sim.

Q. How would free calling work after 1st Jan 2017?
A VoLTE capable phones would directly be able to call through stock dialer without turning ON data.(simply look for VoLTE logo on the status bar) On the other hand NON VoLTE phones would require JIO JOIN for calling and JIO JOIN requires data to be turned ON to place a call.

Q. How would JIO apps work for free after 1st Jan 2017 till 31st Dec 2017?
A Most likely you would have to subscribe to one of the 10 plans and data used while using Jio Apps will be debited from data plan.

Q. What are On the Go charges for data?
A Initial impressions claims the on the go data charges will be 5 paise/MB (not confirmed)

Q. Will I be able to avail free calling/JIO apps If I don’t subscribe to any of the mentioned plans ?
A As they didn’t confirm how these complimentary services will be operated under on the go usage so can’t be sure.

Q. What is this JioNet wifi double data?

A You would get double data with the aforementioned plans which can be availed at various Hotspots installed by RJIO across entire country.(e.g.Around theatres,Public parks,railway stations across the city)

Q. What about RJIO postpaid and MNP?
A Still no announcement.
