Time to introduce restriction on suggesting FPDs
I see newbies suggesting fpds without even checking the deals properly. Sometimes the deal is not even valid and they keep on suggesting fpds, give voteups. May be the original poster itself creates fake accounts to do all this. To stop this practice, there should be a restriction on new joiners here. I see becoming deal cadets is a piece of cake nowadays. Admin should restrict them from suggesting deals as fpd and this power to promote and to not promote should be given once they become deal subedar or at least have 500 karma.
I am not against genuine new joiners and they might feel i am wrong but this is what i feel because of fake/nonsence FPDs suggestions coming these days. Trust me fake voteups and FPDS suggestions does count even if the deal is not so attractive/worthy and sometimes a deal which deserve to be an FPD gets ignored because of this. This has not happended with me but i have seen this many times. I may be wrong in this and hence suggestions are welcome. @bumblefoot

Just imagine few days back, there was a deal on Flipkart on Men’s Clothing 80% + 10% off..
If you could calculate DD’s affiliate income post the proportionate salary of 50 employees of Parity Cube Pvt Ltd (DD is half of it) and all the maintenance stuff, the OP of that deal gets just Rs. 20 which is way less than 1% of it.

We do not promote deals on basis of fpd suggestions. We have to look at various other factors as well.

The op will get 20 dimes aswell as the the dimer who suggested first will get 5 dimes (If the FPD deal become FPD)

I disagree OP. It wont have any real effect. If anything, it’ll end up making it diffcult to find fpd worthy posts. Fpds aren’t automated. The admins select them manually. Number of suggestions dont really matter. I’ve seen posts with dozens of suggestions never make it to front page. And posts with even zero or a single suggestion as fpd. So restricting the newbies wont really make a difference here imo.

Yes, but only if you are the first one to suggest it.
Except for 290 of my dimes, the rest have come from being the first one to suggest an FPD. But, of course, I never do it for the dimes or for unnecessarily supporting anybody. I do it only if the deal seems attractive to me. I suggest you and others to do the same. And, as the admins can probably find out, my hit ratio must be quite high.
