HYDERABAD:
Two persons have been arrested for allegedly cheating e-commerce giant Flipkart of over Rs 50,000 by claiming refund for an iPhone even after receiving the product, police said.
Accused Atul Sharma and Naveen Kumar were arrested following a complaint from the company, Chikadpally police station’s additional inspector P Balavanthaiah said.
Sharma, as per the complaint, ordered an Apple iPhone 6 costing Rs 51,590 from Flipkart in the name of Naveen Kumar, and made payment through a credit card. The phone was duly delivered.
Next day Sharma and Kumar complained to Flipkart that the package contained paper and rubber and not the phone, following which the company refunded the entire amount, the police officer said.
The company then conducted an internal inquiry to trace the missing phone, and found that it was in use within Hyderabad limits. Police traced the phone’s IMEI number, which led them to Sharma from whose possession it was recovered.
Hope they are not Dimers

These arrests should keep happening, these days buyers are more fraud than sellers

yeah… so many courier boys are also doing this bad work… they should track down all phones..
i know a courier company manager in Hyderabad who has more than 15 cases pending which is similar to above news.. he called me up for help once

If buyers are more fraud than sellers no business would exist

sometimes buyer, sometimes courier and marketplace banns sellers
few days back one buyer bought same product from 2 different id on ebay, on 2 different address both were from Bihar.
We sent one from DTDC and other from India post
he opened claim from both stating that he has received empty parcel, so 2 different courier companies can’t do same mistake with same product, still ebay approved his both claims

this is the one thing that pissed me off, had a huge argument with eBay regarding the same thing. I even asked eBay to ask the buyer to reship the item and I will send a replacement
Still they approved his claim and more over added that "Why are you so worried when you are getting your fees "
this is where frauds are taking advantage..
post their address and contact details.. we shall show them some manners…

in My Opinion every eCommerce company should compulsory Video Recording While opening the parcel
Everyone has mobile so no problem — Problem solve if we got empty or defective product -
Atleast they should appy this rule above 1000 rs product so no one get in huge losses
Neither Buyer nor seller

Neither Buyer nor seller
Its not just about missing/defective/empty deliveries
Buyers are raising claims citing quality reasons even though the sent product is a genuine and from a reputed brand and also of good quality
If the product price is below 500 or 1000, eBay just approves any claim al most and buyer will get refund and also he can keep the product for himself
I dunno if eBay is asking buyers for video recordings while opening the parcel but they are asking sellers the video recording while packing the product haha
One buyer bought s6 edge case thinking s6 edge plus, raised a claim stating that
he has received s6 edge case and he ordered s6 edge plus case
Ebay approves claim
we can’t be responsible if buyer is blind

Seller Does it make sense ?
Cuz seller can pack multiple parcel for one order since they have Company packing plastic and Printer
Buyer Receive only 1 I guess with Tracking Number print on
