guys, want to buy kailash table top wet grinder (one with stones in the drum – not the movie type with blade) from metro.
the motor spec is 150w. wanted to know if this is good enough for grinding rice for idli/dosa batter at home.
is 150w motor powerful enough for this purpose?

Yes its enough for a family of 3-4 and Kailash is a trusted brand in wet grinders. But make sure to get the one with 2 stones and not 3 (at least that is what everyone suggests maybe for the ease of cleaning)
do you folks have one at home? can you pl reconfirm on the motor spec please?

Yep it was bought a few years back and it is 150W. Don’t compare wet grinder wattage with the mixer grinder wattage.
Thanks.. got one today. Got a ltr of cooking oil & a kilo of sugar free too :p

Ok now its testing time. Add one liter or cooking oil and a kilo of sugar into the newly bought wet grinder. Leave the grinder on for an hour and report back the results
