Which Induction Cooktop (IC) to buy!

I always thought that Induction Cooktop would be a beautiful addition to our kitchen. But always had to cancel the decision as neither our cook nor my mom was interested in it. So ultimately it had the potential to become another showpiece like many other utensils and cookwares.
This time, finally, my mother has given the necessary approval to buy the IC as the govt. will be rationing LPG. Initially, I thought the process will be easy as there are only a few brands in the market and Prestige is the most visible one. But as I dived in, I have found at least 20 brands and Prestige is the most criticised one…
I found the most trusted brands like Philips & Morphy Richards as well. Our Philips mixer-grinder has given tremendous service for the last 15 years. All our electric equipments at home are either from Philips or some other most trusted brands. For me, Philips is equivalent to TRUST and DURABILITY. Then again, Tata produces the best steel in India & the maker of the worst consumer cars as well.
I would like to know the brand-recommendation of the dimers as well as model (if any) and the advantages and disadvantages of using IC as a whole as well as those of the models suggested. Budget is not a constraint but I don’t like unnecessary spending which will ultimately defeat the purpose of buying IC (to save LPG).

I will suggest Morphy Richards as I got 2 for my house and its just excellent. I have Chef Xpress 400 & 600
Once it got damaged (mixer grinder fell on it ) and the service center people replaced it without asking any question. The technician who came for the inspection was very kind enough to help and asked us not to tell how it got damaged and he made his report accordingly.
Good part is Morphy Richards give 2 years Replacement Guarantee which helps in longer run.
Even Glen makes good ICs so can consider that too.
ICs are very helpful when you plan to cook something quick and safe.
I am not too sure about the electricity it consumes but its definitely not that cheap which all the IC companies makes us believe.
All or most of them quote that 2.5 hours of cooking will consume only 1 unit of power if that is even half true then I will say just go for it cos if you are a family of 3-5 then cooking 3 times meal on induction will not take more than 2 hours.
Rest you will have to see it yourself
Philips HD4908 is good in my opinion & right now is on superdeal too. The price is alright considering they are giving free frying pan which is of good quality

Use Gift Coupon GCV214E5P2CK to get it for 3095
which model in Bajaj is good, any suggestions ?
First choice : Morphy Richards
Second : Philips
So many people have answered & I forgot that I had started this topic!
Thanks everyone.
I was of the opinion to buy Morphy or Philips but sm1 in the showroom told me that USHA is reliable & CC sends people home for replacement or any other services. So thinking of USHA as well.
consider Prestige also

I visited the nearby Prestige showroom few days back.
Prestige is giving some freebies but selling on MRP.
Moreover Prestige’s complaint list is huge.
Look for brand with good service network in India like Philips……I had changed the set when faced with issues and got prompt service from them 3 – 4 times…..look for warranty period too….hope this helps

Why offline? You could have got from here http://www.shopclues.com/morphy-richards-chef-e... at 3290/- + 66 CBs.
Anyway. Not a bad price for hands-on purchase.

You can get 10% off coupons with discount capped at Rs.300/- both from paytm and DD.
Edit: Jai has already cleared it for you.
The next question could be – which IC utensils to buy? But spared that.
Hv already bought Prestige Induction Pressure Cooker at 20% discount & Prestige Induction Cookware Set at 40% discount. any online deal to beat that!!!
have used Philips, Bajaj and a local Surya in past few years… Bajaj and Philips work fine.. Spent the cost on 1 IC on repairing Surya and finally threw it away…
Dont got for anything less than 1800 watts… There r other from Havell’s and Glen.. but i prefer Philips and Bajaj….
