wow... uber minimum wallet balance changed!!

jus noticed the warning once my airtel money wallet went below 500.. for few mins it kept on throwing the low balance popup and I was like wtf…,. thers around 400 right… wats wrong with the app. Only later I figured out that its no longer 200.
Any idea on why the sudden increment of more than double amount in a single stroke>

It happened with me as well sometime back when Uber was last available on Helpchat. Since then I have not used Uber, only OLA micro

What will we do , when total fare of micro will be 10-20% more than regular mode of transport like .. metered auto or equivalent services .

In order to bypass the actions taken by different State Govts, Uber has replaced Surge pricing with Arbitrary pricing (which it calls Upfront pricing), where once you indicate the source and destination, it can quote any amount of fare for your trip and forces the user to accept that price before it accepts the booking. So it needs more money in the wallet

“wow” in this case has been used satirically to stress on the odacity of uber to have changed the minimum wallet requirement to a ridiculous amount.
some other examples of using “wow” in a similar situation would be "Wow ! I have been waiting for you in the car for two hours and you are gossiping with your friend?!?!’

Whatever loopholes Uber finds, they need to ensure that final fare is below government mandated fare limit. Uber has not even got a license to operate in Karnataka. Last thing Uber wants is to piss of the government and people further.
BTW, KA Government has capped the fares at a very reasonable limit. I don’t see any reason why Uber, Ola should burn so much cash when all they need to do is to bring the fares at par or little less than market prices. Customers who are used to convenience of hailing a cab via app, will continue to do so. The only people i see getting more effected are drivers. Their days of 3-5k incentives per day seems to be coming to a grinding halt.
Doesn’t luk lyk the increment is done to sync in with paytm min requirement or so bcoz the hike is done on Airtel Money wallet too!!

This is because these stupid cab aggregators are paying the cab drivers much more than they’re worth, in fact I’d argue more than any other nation on a relative basis
Then of course our chatur naar drivers dupe Uber/Ola & the paying customer by not fulfilling their basic obligations or doing shit stuff like charging customers for empty rides
They should put some of these thug drivers behind bard, they will get much better returns cause clearly they’re clearly not losing money during rush hours & they make enough dough to tide them over for the rest of the day
