Just curious to know which one was your first mobile phone?
My first phone was Nokia 3310 which I purchased in year 2001 when I was in UK. Super solid… easy to use and huge battery backup.

Narcissism — the only word that comes to my mind after looking at this thread. No wonder, despite the title and OP’s simple question, this thread quickly evolved into a list of all the cellphones that people have owned so far. #SMH

Rant off. Carry on, guys.

Alright, now that people are back to sharing only their first mobile phones, I will bite. My first mobile phone was Nokia 8250 – the smallest and lightest phone at the time. And perhaps also the only one with a blue backlight. Purchased for around Rs.11k in 2001. Still have the phone but it doesn’t work anymore.

Before that, I used to love playing snake on my father’s Nokia 5110. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

My first regular use device was a Ericsson T10 in early 2000s. though I personally bought the Nokia 3310 (to gift to family member) in 2004.

@scorpianj50 Panasonic GD 90 was a sturdy phone and those LCD back light colours, a charm. had used it for 4-5 months sometime.

@Jagsss Jagsss so you had the MCA 20 CommuniCam too ¡? :jealous: that add-on camera i never got to see till very recently in 2010 (or 2011 i think) and that too in a service centre employee’s attic full of what he used to call: junk https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif .. could not even test it!

@xuseronline @nhavale @TronGalaxy @afzalmohd95955 dont know why I remember 1100 as water resistant or water proof. I think some relatives kid dropped it in water and it was recovered immediately and just survived. that is my memory of it.

@Idriish @hps21 @sbdtrial @marketdimer @Beinghuman @SameeR Rishi DixiT all those 3310 3315 and later CDMA (pull cord antennae @Achilles ?) were truly smartphones, don’t you think? they gave us more happiness than even the Swarovski encrusted or other costly phones today ||

these phones knew how to give most output in those set features and not having to to do more (call receive/ connect, sms, game, battery life, robust built).
Current devices work more and still do not give thier users as much joy and satisfaction.
[i am no less a sinner as I went on to splurge on the S700i for its form factor and later P910i. Not against advanced phones]

@Dr.DeaL that Siemens phone too had one of the best call clarity and reception power!

clamshells (like Kinetic Honda or Vodka) got the unjust reputation of being for fairer gender but were actually better in form factor. Yes twas a looker

@xuseronline yes it wasn’t but like I said, my memory of it..

the keypad though was all covered in the single vinyl so no dust or liquid could go there.
