Axis Bank Priority Salary Account (Min salary > 1 L INR pm).
Its not a savings a/c but a salary a/c.
In case you can get many people at your workplace to open this account, they often waive off the minimum salary clause.

Many dimers have contacted me privately to inquire about lounge access over the last year, but were disappointed after I told them they need certain debit/credit cards. So I think every student or dimer ineligible for a credit card should get this IDFC zero balance account simply for the Visa Signature card so they can also enjoy free lounge access.
Even if somebody keeps zero-balance in the account, it’s just 100 bucks per year for the Visa Signature card, right?
Correct.

NEFT free, debit card chargeable@ Rs. 100
Forex markup fee 2% only
Isn’t that forex fee the lowest among all banks?! CC @A2Zdeals
Idfc & Bandhan Bank both are in first year of operation. They can’t go strict with customer.
IDFC required minimum 25000. I opened my account there. Transfers as free. It has to be as they have to make customer base. That are very slow. More than 8 months, still tie up with Billdesk etc not in place. I couldn’t find Idfc bank netbanking as payment option anywhere so far. Anyone else can update.
Visa signature was free for beta users. Now they may impose some fee or eligibility criteria may have changed. Will talk to my rm & update.
Recently opened account in Bandhan Bank. They have 2000/5000 balance account also. But rupay card for these.
They seem better than Idfc in terms of Connectivity.
They also don’t have charges now but in some time will impose. While opening account, sales guy mentioned that soon there will be change. But as of now nothing.
Monday I’m back in town. Will talk to rm. Please pm me your query, if any pending.
Have not seen a single IDFC branch so far. There are many Bandhan branches.

Most of the banks convert salary account to saving if salary not credited for 3 consecutive months. So may be they won’t ask salary slip but they will check salary credited statement.

i) Yes (But then i am not 100℅ sure)
ii) No i guess, I can’t find any loyality points program on their website
iii) only cheque i guess because banks have some security problems, though few bank allows you to pay via NEFT or if they have online account opening program you can also pay via your CC/DC

If you maintain hefty balance in a/c,it would be like that only (at least incase of icici)

Opening a account as Salary Account you would need Corporate HR Code for company.
If RBL guy is ready to map your account under any corporate lable, then only that can happen.
They recognise an account as salary account with that HR code presence. Even credit of salary may not be required till the time that code is present.
That is reason when one leaves one company & that account without salary credit also remains like that. That is because of that HR ki kripa that they did not intimate bank about that.
Rent agreement is good as address proof for account opening.

it is reliable. but is it true that they provide free atm withdrawal from any atm? no limits of withdrawal? if so, will shift from idbi to idfc.
