Go to Penny Tel Website → Login in to Portal.
go to Personal VoIP → Settings → click on SIP settings; Find the phone number and password under tab “Your PennyTel VoIP Details” use this phone number and password to login on your android phone.

Guys for me registration is done and status is green on android phone.but while calling I get “server internal error500” even after using +91 before numbers for India!! I can dial tollfree numbers though!!

I got my username/password today. Unfortunately, I have issues with windows so cant check there. I tried with Nimbuzz and some other VOIP clients mentioned on the pennytel website. If I use the number/password combination, it tells me its incorrect. If I try with my email id/password, it says not connected/server unavailable/stuck on registering.
Tried with 2-3 voip software on Ubuntu as well. Could not get it to work. Dont know what am I doing wrong.
It’s working fine on my android …. thanks a lot for that!!!…… I have already saved a lot of bucks……..

Pending registration
Here is the Hint when it will work. When you register to pennytel with 10m Free minutes link & login to pennytel, if you dont see Pesronal Voip automatically added in left side, the account will not work for you. i.e. Account will only work if Personal voip gets automatically added on 1st login otherwise you will face same Pending registration issue.

After a big struggle got it working on my android phone. Read this entire thread multiple number of times. This time created a new account using different email id, waited for their confirmation email that an account is registered, after that went to sip settings, The VOIP settings were coming by default, didn’t had to add any service. Used default password to login through phone.
Voice quality is good, Works on both land-line and mobile numbers. Occasionally it stutters. But that’s ok i feel, as it is free any ways. Now i feel they should extent this 10 million free minutes offer beyond Jan 20,2013. Getting addicted to it.

have u used any proxy sites or registered normally:-D

There is no proxy, used it as direct connection at my HOMEPC network. Don’t use proxy even for http traffic.
It doesn’t work in office network as the port numbers are usually blocked.
I am having id and pass of pennytel,
1 nimbuzz id,
I want to call from pc, I am not able to see call settings…

for me it is connected after i add it in nimbuzz, but when i make a call it disconnects automatically… this happens both in mobile and laptop… someone please help…
OK guys. For those who are getting errors like “Inter Server Error” on Mobile App, or gets disconnected on its own on Nimbuzz for Desktop, I think I now know the probability of it happening…
First of all, register an account as mentioned by “Smak” on Page Number 7 in this thread..
Now, I tried with 5 accounts. The first account works, the next 3 keep giving those errors, and the 5th one works as well…
For the 3 accounts which DO NOT work, I received the following email ONLY after registering on the pennytel site.

So, may be, this could be an indication of whether ur account has been successfully created or not, ie, will work without any issues…
So, yeah, try multiple times, with different email IDs, those who cant get it to work yet…
Other users who have got it working or not working here can post their observation, and help verify if this observation is indeed true….
