One suggestion :
Add money via SCB Super Value TItanium in Paytm you will get 5% cashback 100 max on 2000
Can do it twice…
Then buy Shoppers Stop eGV @ 15%
To make it 20%

I am not sure about Citi Bank cashback platinum card…there also 5% on bill / utility payment but not sure of paytm merchant code for them…

That was a time bound / user specific offer which is not applicable now.

Bro I meant I verified the fact that Paytm is treated as similar merchant code as Vodafone airtel & one can avail 5% cashback as product feature.
That 5% spends offer was the time when I had verified that.

I find these eGVs too restrictive for offline usage. Physical cards are better.

Asking again in simpler way:

If anyone add 2000 in Paytm wallet using SCB Titanium card today without applying any code, will he/she get 5% cashback?

Apologies in advance for asking so many Qs but it will surely help me as well as others reading this post & getting benifitted from you suggestion.

Dear, clearing doubt is the thing for this forum is alive…

I did transaction of 1500 on Paytm on 08/04/2016 using scb super value titanium card, without any code, got cashback of 75 in scb card.
In simple words Paytm got considered as mobile operator or utility merchant (Visa / MC merchant list) & scb cashback applied as per card feature.
Biller name was One 97 communications (Paytm)

When attempted for shmart, mobikwik, freecharge it dint happen. Their I received points (1% on all other spends)

Like bigbazaar has Fbb, food bazaar, home town. Now they have several POS machines. Few cards give extra points or cashback on grocery or departmental stores. Sometimes BB gets considered as grocery, some machines as other category.

I hope I elaborated & simplified.

I find physical plastic cards the best, lose track of eGVs at times. Would have lost Rs. 4500 in Amazon GVs had Amazon not reminded me that some of the vouchers bought were nearing expiry but not redeemed.

hmm.. previously there were no conditions on the categories.. so for 5 txns on paytm you would have got cb… now that they have imposed category specific condition, as paytm comes under recharge category, you will be eligible for 2 txns under this category.. hence max 200 cb per month on load/shopping of 4000.. hope you got it now.
