Government of India is running a Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP) under which they are promoting the usage
of LED bulbs. These bulbs are sourced from top national brands and manufacturers such as Philips, Bajaj, HPL, Crompton, OSRAM, Orient
and others.

This initiative is being run through Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) which is a Government Body. Snapdeal has partnered with EESL to distribute these bulbs across the country.

Every eco-friendly bulb comes with a 3 year warranty and will result in 75% power savings. In the rare case of a bulb not working, they could be easily replaced by contacting the customer care number present on the package.

Take the energy saving pLEDge and contribute to the development of the nation.

These local company wont promise on warranty. Its very difficult to contact them. I bought some local LED from ebay. They mentioned 1 year warranty and it went off within 1 month. Now seller says, its manufacturer warranty and not seller duty. So, better to buy from nearby store or from branded company where you can locate store quickly.

This is just my feedback. May be many have have other opinions.

You need to buy branded ones that are easy to find like Philips or Eveready.

Sorry to say that…Its a foolish deal since Rs.140 per piece and in this price so many companies in better lumens, are selling it. Even Eveready’s 8W has better lumens (total) than this 9W product.

Its a waste deal at Rs.140 dont know why it became an FPD !

What one can do when you are checking the thread when items are sold out. The items were available for abovementioned price. Eveready 8w is available at same price? Is it offering 3 yr warranty?

Eveready is available in the price range of 140 per piece, if proper schemes are applied so it offers better lumen too(i.e.Lumen per watt). And yes..no 3 yrs warranty but to my experience 1-2-3 yrs are equivalent when we talk abt LEDs. It is the condition to which a particular LED system is suitable to. To my experience 1month is eq to 1yr in LEDs (not for CFLs). Till now it worked for average+domestic+under-shade use. BTW Eveready 2yrs deta hai.

And it is still available at Rs.99 , I am not denying this fact , but the fact of shipping is differed as told by you.(Plz watch at Rs.40 thing) I don’t think so that it will get sold out even after a month becoz it is related to Govt.

Your proper offer runs always?? No na?
Same way this deal had its own time. Now quantity is available in multiples but shipping charges are per piece. As per ur logic if a deal is posted for x price it shouldn’t be posted again if the price is not below x
Your experience will not get you warranty.

7W light is too less for a somewhat bigger room. UP too had similar offer. 7 W surya/Philips bulbs @ 99 each.

9 W is good.

Friends don’t buy anymore from Snapdeal.
They are fooling using the DELP scheme name by sending chinese LED bulbs.
Some local sellers from Haryana & delhi are sending these chinese bulbs.
The bulb has nothing printed on it. Not even a single alphabet. Overall light is also very less.
Outer carton is identical to chinese bulbs with no brand information.
