One a separate note.. if you don’t mind telling .. What do you do with so many cards? I don’t think we normally get discount purchase of axis bank GC? except for say 5% which we got from amazon Deal.

No use, that bugger will never respond, he not even responding to Amazon CC mails. Call Amazon and raise A to Z claim for refund.

Thanks. Still I’ll wait till tomm. And if he doesn’t even respond, I’ll make sure to “accidentally” damage the ipin and other password envelope so it can’t be used or resold and he’ll have no option left but to go back to axis and explain what happened. Hopefully that’ll hurt him atleast a tiny bit.

Who ever it may be, they should have bit common sense to reply customer mails or Amazon mails and information should not be false. They should have clearly informed all customers when card will be activated. If I was in same place I would have updated in listing itself with bold letters that card will be in inactive status when received and it will be activated on next working day or so.

For me I sent mail on 18th(no reply), Amazon CC sent mail on 20th(no reply) & 22nd(no reply). Raised A to Z claim, no response till now.

Has anyone gotten the cards activated from a branch? If yes, what do I need to do to get this done? Do I just take the cards to the branch and tell them to activate the card(s)?

Yes on the next day of dispatch i got credit message, Status on amazon is still showing dispatch with invalid tracking detail. last date for delivery is 28th may

Thats why your card is activated. It came pre-activated.

Why to visit branch for sellers mistake, raise A to Z claim, either it will get activated or we will get refund.

Because I want the cards and not the refund, so if the local branch can get them activated, it will be good. and for me its just a 1-2 Km distance to the branch.

More stupidity from Axis. Spoke to a CC at telebanking number 022-67987700 and tried to explain to her that my cards were not activated and the reply that I got from gift.card@axis just reiterated what I already knew about the cards being inactive.
She kept insisting that I talk to Amazon to get the cards loaded as the cards were purchased from Amazon. When I tried to explain to her that Amazon is just a marketplace and the seller is Axis Bank, she kept repeating, since I paid Amazon, I should talk to them as they might not have sent the money to Axis Bank.
I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry at this point and asked for a manager. She put me on hold for about 10-15 minutes and suddenly I got an SMS that one of my cards had been loaded with Rs 2000. So one card was activated. When she came back after talking to god knows who, I told her to repeat whatever she had done and activate the 2nd card as well and she said she had done nothing and that there was only one senior and that person was busy and to call after 15-20 minutes.
So I will call in about 10 minutes and report back. I am glad that whatever was done by whoever, atleast one of my cards was activated.
