Krish, I understand your angst but I have no idea why these deals were not selected for FP at that time. All the above links are 6-8 months old.
You should understand that in the current time period, this is the cheapest price for which this camera is available, was suggested and put on FP.
Like this, if you dig up a lot of old posts there are multiple instances in which deals did not get selected to FP. Can we live in the past and breathe in the present?
At DD, we are also trying to promote good deals to the FP (with no bias) and my efforts would be towards that. I would urge you to continue posting good deals wherever possible and I’ll make best efforts to put it on FP if they are really worth it.

hello siddhart, they is nothing special about today’s selection criteria. Things are same as always. Deal promoting is done on various aspects. website, product review, brand are just to name few. Its not the same always cheaper than fpd criteria.
Deal you are highlighting was hardly live for 2 hr, and went oos before we could check or promote it. Hence this deal is promoted. We both know that there are instance when we have promoted deals which are costlier than earlier fpd.

Shall I read it as the new Mod’s FPD selection criteria supersedes Bumblefoot’s 2 month old reason..
From the two quoted criteria, is it correct to infer that the product being costlier from previous post doesn’t hamper selection of FPD.. It just have to be a current low price with FPD suggestion..

@jackal: nd @bumblefoot .. please remove all ambiguities for FPD selection criteria .. u all contradict each othesr words,dnt choose a particular cheapest deal for FPD previously although it was frm reputed seller nd site but the same product choosen fr FPD when posted after 6 months although posted at higher price (eg of thos sony digicam deal) and then u simply ignore or avoid it saying u dnt knw hw it wasnt made FPD .. This isnt the first time and there are many many such deals which u can ask dimers like Siddharthsingh,Venkat and few others who were worst hit and have left Hot deals section just bcz of that .. If what u r doing isnt biasness ,then please define Biasness for us as we arent aware of its definition properly as per U all … And i know that just bcz of my this post even u will be bias towards me in further deals posted by me .. You are claiming that the Moderators are selected from the forum itself, but it’s partially correct. You started the poll but the selection is not based on the poll, I think you forgot it and you could not justify the selection in the same thread even after questions from many senior dimers.

Considering this deal. All above thread hardly received any suggestion, so its possible that we all missed it. And i will again clear it that its difficult for us to provide reason for each and every deal explaning why it is not promoted.

I just want to ensure transparency and clarity atleast when matters get heated .. Yea i agree its not possible to specify reason fr evry deal that y it wasnt made FPD but when The VU nd suggestions are too much or The price diff is too much or its cheapest ever or much cheaper than before(a marginable amt) then u must look into it more carefully and provide reasons for such extremely hot deals so as to avoid confusion .. I am nt asking u to give reasons to every stupid deal posted that why it wasnt made FPD when the reasons are apparent but when it becomes quite difficult even for senior dimers to ascertain such reasons then u must Clear things out
