Best Anti-Theft Android app is now FREE

not sure if it was paid before,but vu because everyone should have some tracking software on the phone. Just a few weeks back, my mothers motog got robbed and there was not much I could do except by going to the android device manager and locking her phone (https://www.google.com/android/devicem…er). But the thief needs to go online for that to happen. That will happen only if he enables wifi because my mother never used 3g. Thats another concern, one must have atleast a 2g connection on at all times when away from home

I lost my Samsung tablet few days back and got it recovered
I dont have even android device manager in that tablet when I lost it…Installed it remotely and later got to know the thief is installing apps in my tab…so I didn’t lock it immediately…tried different softwares to install remotely …they didn’t work…so finally locked the device with a message “For password,call to 9******* or send RESET to 9******” and guess what that idiot rang my number 5 times.

Finally got the tab back.The one who used my tab was not the thief…he bought it from the thief.

Anti-theft app is must for every smartphone…I dont mind paying for a good anti theft app.

No…I used android device manager…it got very very limited options …only two in fact…erasing ur device or locking it.Though there is a get location option…it works only when the GPS is turned on the device.

Now I have installed premium apps on my devices which can take the pics,read messages,phone calls and lot of features …try searching in play store…cereberus is good and android lost app is free I think.

As the app which op mentioned is free…you can try it

All this can happen only when the device is cnnected to internet. my note2 was stolen on 4th october but till date it has not come on network.Also, as you require same number to be connected, you don’t have any other option but get a new sim, that means the sim in the phone is deactivated and have no 3g/moble data. it was having lock code, most probably it has been formatted and not traceable.

what if the thief uninstall the app from cell after onowing that it is tracking app? can we still track him?

These app have sms command options where you can enable data on any SIM in mobile and then track/sms. so it should be must have app.
I have used Cerberus and it really works for any situation until thief formats your phone and installs new ROM. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=c…) it was free once but paid app now.

Anti-theft software is crap. Anyone other than a total newb would wipe the phone/tab from recovery and remove your software.Neither does the software act when the device is switched off.

Can factory reset be done when phone is locked by password

I have XOLO Secure pre-installed in my phone and it works great. So skipping this app.

I would clearly suggest Cerberus app, it’s a paid app, but worth every penny…it’s a must have, if you have expensive mobiles..

The cerberus has tons of features, it can not only remotely lock, but can do a lot of things to recover ur mobile…especially, give the location of user, take photo/record video from front camera, warn user with messages, alarms…etc, the best part is the thief will not have any idea of these going on in the background..:)

Yeah, cerberus works when phone is reset…android users, better root ur mobile, then install cerberus in root folder of ur mobile…simple..:)

Though it needs some understanding to use it, it can be mastered in a few days..:) Sometimes little annoying, especially you will get some random warnings at times..:) but it’s worth the money…go for it..

I had got it a long time ago.
I couldnt find find anything about validity in the app.
but had recieved a mail from them, at the time of joining, stating that “you have recieved a lifetime account with cerberus”

Any one installed hidden icon version of this app, my Mi3 warned me that it contains virus.
