What’s the difference between perfume and deodrant?

(P.S: I don’t find/know any difference while using both. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif )

This made me smile.

“Deodorant is technically something that is used to cover up or get rid of unpleasant odor while cologne or perfume is used to add a pleasant scent.”

I had the same question about 7 years ago and that’s when I stopped using Deos and switched entirely to Perfumes. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

I don’t believe in regurgitating information already available on the internet so here are some links for you to read.

Mr Dimer of the Year (aka @DealSeeker )
Need your expertise here,
1. where to buy genuine luxury perfume online? (I hv bought from WS Retail or Jabong only but still dissatisfied. Feels like scented water)
2. don’t u feel perfumes bought online last not as much as those from Shoppers stop?
3. since there is no manufacturing date, how to ascertain how old the perfume is?
probably they dont have a lasting fragrance since they have a limited shelf life. I am confused to hell. https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_cool.gif
Please suggest me where should I buy from?
Right now I stick to only Duty Free shops during international trips. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_confused.gif

I have not found any genuine site in India yet. Seems like there is a well-established channel for fake perfumes and most of the online sellers in India procure their perfumes using that channel. One exception seems to be Groupon — based on the review of a friend.

2. don’t u feel perfumes bought online last not as much as those from Shoppers stop?

Absolutely! I buy them online only for gifting. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Good question! Since perfumes have shelf life of more than 30 months, they don’t even mention the manufacturing date. Many people are not aware of this, but you can get the manufacturing date from the batch number printed on the packaging. There are a few sites that let you decipher the batch codes like http://www.checkfre...om.

That’s exactly what I do. If you aren’t traveling internationally, you can request a friend or family member who is. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

Why not simply use a axe or wild stone deo ?

And what are these duty free shops on airport ?
My friend said that their alcohols that are sold locally for 2k are available around an odd 900rs

Is it true ??

@ishandon India charges about 150% import duty on foreign spirits and wines. This alone should explain the cost difference at the duty-free shops. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif

You can visit those airport shops only when you travel internationally (well, mostly https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_wink.gif). For an average person, who travels internationally rarely, this is not a feasible option. Moreover, the allowances and limits are quite low (2 liters per person per visit).

Yes, it is. But the allowances are way lower and there are some special exemptions/rules.

@nibraselat579 if u guys haven’t tried … thn u shud ..at least for trying sake … itra .. i buy them locally from a old shop i m regular with in CC. Hamare chacha jaan jo hain wo hugo boss se le ke chanel tak copy kar sakte hain lol..well they do keep good scents as roll ons (its more or less cologne) … i use the lime flavour i find it fresh … nd m happy … i don’t trust these online deo or perfumes.

Rest if u get a good perfume and that to original nothing like it … these itra makers are reducing nowadays but u still find shops selling these in old markets … nd now new guys are making a lot good fresh scents using old tech only … nd its scent last long too.

that’s my take on subject. ….MAKE IN INDIA karo bhai… no promotion for bringing frm here or there … idhar to nai pasand aya to paisa wapas … kidhar ek perfume ke peeche foreign ke dhakke khana yaar … apne subtle tarikey hain … bhai
