My first IEM was Brainwavz M1,bought for 1400 rs and I used it for 1.5 yrs and then the left one stopped working. It was really good and was not so bassy more of a neutral kind of IEM.

Secondly I bought, HiFiman RE-400 for 5900 rs. They sounded really awesome, but the wires broken in 10 months. They also didnt give me the warranty. RE-400 is really really good if you are looking for a neutral iem. Only build quality sucks.

Currently I am using a vsonic VC-02 bought for something around 3000 rs. The wire looks durable, and they sound really well. More of a neutral iem though.

So if you are apprehensive about the brand Brainwavz, they are a really good brand of cheap but great iem’s among audiophiles. Go ahead and grab it.

Brainwavz are generally good. I have there HM9 Headphones its got good build quality and looks amazing.
BTW would like to know how they compare with Mi Piston 2.

Piston are one of the worst earphones i have used. they are only good for buttons and mic.
I am using cowon em1 which have better sound quality than mi piston. Also i have used es18 which i feel were also better than piston

can someone tell me how M5 compare against M2. I have heard that m2 are one of the best iems

M2 sound better than M5 imho.

Ninjaboy I think you misread Sachin’s post, he is pro MI Piston and feels it is better than M5.
I too like the Pistons more than ES18.
I guess you like bass a little more as ES18 is bass heavy.

true that, pistons are not the best i have used but they are certainly better than M5’s and cheaper too.

I’m using beta from past 2 years. very good quality and sound. Last month they had offer … buy 3 for $20. I just grabbed that offer. They delivered to me in 10 days in Bangalore. Beta is more rugged and has inbuilt mic.

I would recommend beta for a wonderful sound and build quality.

I have M2. They are pretty good but I havent heard M5. I also heard TF10 and they are the best among all I have heard. Miles ahead of M2.

Well i second that. Piston are certainly bang for the buck.

Also guys if you are very much confused between multiple IEMs i reckon you go for SM E10. its always a safe bet. And definitely worth every penny.;-}

Personally I have been using this for over an year. The sound is close to neutral and these are  definitely not for the bass heads.  But that said these are more than decent headphones and at approx Rs. 1100 each these are a real steal IMO.

Instead get a mi3 piston . well balanced sound with high mid low in correction proportion. Good soundstage too…not but not least it produces earth shattering bass. Costs just 799 in Flipkart. Using it with my rooted Samsung galaxy siii with paranoid ROM (boefella config v2 app and noozy player with viper4 android equalizer)…these combitions make my 799 rs headset sound like a 5000 rs one. If you are a siii user try the above things. These headsets are compatible with mi3 and they provide good sound with mi3. But my siii overtakes even the high end phones like z3, HTC one, iPhone 5s. One and only reason is due to the soundcard it has(Wolfson DAC)…these headsets depend more on your handset or audio chip for a better sound. People who are commenting it as worst headphones wouldn’t have tried my mod or wouldn’t have used high end devices. The better your device and sound card the good these headphones are….I have used beats tekfusion and piston….I would rank tekfusion first…piston second (just a minor diffrence in sound quality between tekfusion and piston)…but I prefer to buy piston cos of its build quality and mic with controls they offer and awesome sound quality. Beats are not bang for buck.

Got mail on Monday that the shipping detail provided was wrong and that they shipped my item only on 16th Nov. Was provided with new tracking no and my parcel is still lying at Hongkong Airport:twisted:

thats not the issue. they started shipping around 30-31 october. U can calculate 20 days from then. But now if they say its still in hongkong, its going to take another month to reach us..

Even I buy regularly from China and never faced any problem except we need patience, the problem is they lied here.

I had received mail the very next day of order (31st Oct) that my order was shipped and gave me a tracking no but now I received the 2nd mail on 16th Nov stating that the previous mail was wrong and item has just been shipped!

i am really going to think 20 times before buying from them now.. lets talk to their customer care with queries. They should reship with a faster method now to meet the deadlines.

thats the best part.. i didnt even meet the guy. He came, delivered and left silently. I collected it from my security guard. It was speedpost.

And by far these are the best IEMs i have ever stuck in my ears. Although listened to them only form few mins.

anyways last few days, have been purchasing hell lot of IEM and HP,so not ordering any-thing for few months .

And yeah Brainwavz make decent pair of HP/IEM,not the best yet not the worst of the lot.
