the light intensity is somewhat like a candle..but in white color..
usage us similar to a candle..i mean as emergency backup if inverter fails etc…dont expect you can use substitute it even with 5w cfl bulb..

i lit a 15 w cfl on in a attached store room the whole night so as to know whether a cockroach or lizard or snake is crawling on you at night .. and also to hav a partial light in room so that when you wake up at night for water or loo etc then you know where your feet are ..for me,it will replace just these applications where low intensity light is enough..

posting pic is tedious job..as i am leaving town tomorow morning and i hav pending work..but its really small..just to stretch it,the size have been extended to a little over 100w bulb…
there r 3 modes of operation..
1. off
2. always on.
3. on during low light and off during day..in this mode,if light intensity id partial strong then bulb ( 4 led ) will glow at lower intensity..but if light is out then bulb will glow at complete brightness..

Any feedback on the diya? Is it of nay use in cities? Are you using it or are u waiting for the dday for some powercut?

Got my order delivered through Digilife distribution(an HCL subsidiary). Was nicely packed.I hung it in my terrace for the whole day and at night it glowed automatically. Can compare the light to a so called zero volt bulb.The battery drained off in some 2-3 hours. Definitely not a replacement for a normal bulb.I have left it in heavy rain last night and no problems until now.

i think they have provided 800mah batteries we can replace it by using 2000 or 2800mah batteries to use bulb for 7 or 8 hours

16 days since payment. Order not shipped yet. Anyone else facing the same problem?

U also bought something that you do not need. It gives power for 2 hrs and that too less than zero watt bulb… All these +ve reviews by people who themselves did not buy it may be the reason….. FPD and VU is just done for heck of it and then people like u fall in the trap that world is going to end tomorrow and they buy all these stuff that one does not need. Be careful going forward

Well said @donreturns! Rare to hear such sobering talk. It is always this frenzy of buying. So much junk is bought just because it is a deal. It is becoming a very very serious problem in the US. And will soon be for Indians who have taken to this culture.

Dude this is there in India and if you follow some of the threads you will find that people buy stuff in multiple quantities.. junk stuff, damaged stuff, duplicate stuff… The ground rule is that no one starts a business to make a loss and there has to strong reason why one is offering a product at such a low price – the smartness would be to understand that reason and then take a call if you wann to go for this deal or skip it.

Even this side of desi dimmer is a business venture and the person who owns this website is making money out of it, There is one basic and golden rule of Economics “There is no such thing as free lunch”

Something similar to stock market… mob psychology (or goat traits)… where people just create a situation that one stops using the sane part of brain and takes action using the emotional side

Best example is Indiatimes deals. where people do not buy themselves but vote up and fpd just for heck of it.

i too bought a pair just to check the product, but still to receive the order. wonder if they have a customercare also or not they aren’t replying to my emails!!
