thank you TronG for taking time off for this! And would be greatful if anyone can help with the size and workmanship, it will help in the purchase decision. Many sites put the package (box) dimensions as product size, so is this 34 by 55 cm or less? Have seen (not used) other Ciplaplast products before and quality was acceptable. But for bath cabinets, only bought customised off-the rack ones.
on the back side of this cabinet are there hooks to fit on the wall or we need to put screws…
can any one post the pic of the back side of this cabinet

There would be hooks definitely !
Does anyone have an idea of the offline price for this ?

no bro, u need nails according to its dimension, so u may have to nail 4 after you receive theproducts
though 2 on the top mightbe enough
if some one can post the back side pics it would be great

@TronGalaxy these acrylic units are ‘usually’ glued together from cut/ stenciled sheets and i have only seen them to have notches (eye holes) cut into them. Mostly the are hung on nails like a water filter (Aqua guard) is. No hooks.
§
not sure about the price. But these new crop of primarily ‘on-line only’ brands never preffer giving large margins in physical chain. Pepperfry is where Ciplaplast were always favoured.
For off-line, if you have time some day and/or a school going enthusiast around. Just spend some time with any number plate/ name plate maker. to source 5-6 mm acrylic sheets cut to size (as per blue print). 3M or cheaper brands silcone compound now-a-days is hardly 300Rs
good art n crafts time pass
§
sorry for getting waay off-topic but a 35 by 55" cabinet with these many partitions would cost around same. If name or fame of brand (or assembled) is there.
great post vipun KG

sry , i Don’t get it
Yayyyy
thank you so much @karthi4052752 Karthi Anna
@TronG shhhh :darr: El Nino sei darr nahi lagta Sahab, Humble sei lagta hai
might find out today @TronGalaxy street prices of assembled ones. Do note that 35cm might be outer perimeter. Depending on sheet thickness, this might have less (usable) width. Similar stuff bought 5-6 years back (about 1.5 feet by 2) cost 400-500Rs.
sorry about the amatuerish upload without a computer
checked (TODAY) some shops in the market dedicated to hardware and these things (in a Class A types town, non metro but reasonably big)
-
The bathroom cabinet had almost the same pattern (blocks and partitions) now standard in that size ( about 15 inch by 24 inches )
The door/s, main one and parts of the body seemed injection molded and not cut pieces pasted (as the ones i mentioned/ thought). The horizontal members and the towel rod profile though did rest on pasted lipin/section.
Quality seem okay-okay. Not bad, but very basic finish. (Sir, ye ekdum running item hai. So what he implied was, he’d rather stock what sells here)
§
since I/we are used to these many partitions and the size we prefer these bigger ones in main bathroom.
and oh yes, they do have the inverted keyhole txpe notches cut on the back panel of the cabinet, to be simply hung on to place
non negotiated card rate (about 15 by 24 inch, acrylic nd plastic mix sheets) : Rs 900
Would i Buy: No
mainly because some minor finish issues and too run of the mill item with limited variety. Same item was getting bargained at a nearby shop by a genuine buyer.
Would I recco.?: not to a finicky user.
Unbranded 6 or 7/10 rating 15inch by 24 inch at 800+ (after time consuming jhig/jhig bargaining)
versus
a much smaller cabinet, which one has not seen or checked for suitability (individual choice of pattern or existing nails in tiles). Off the internet, and is exhorbitantly marked (price) before discounts.
you decide! (i’d go for touchy feely in such daily use thing that i’ve to take for self or for any finicky acquaintance)
I have exactly same design cabinet in my bathroom, bought @ Rs 500 from near-by shop.
I dont remember the brand, but can definitely confirm in night.
This is definately highly inflated price. Even if you consider it as reputed brand, after 50% you might be getting at actual price because MRP on such products is usually double or even triple.
Check once in local market before buying
