The placement of knobs in the cooktop is not right. Anyone will find it difficult to operate it while igniting the burner. Who gave them this stupid idea?

I am surprised you think so. The new design trend is actually to keep the knobs even closer to each other, all positioned in the center of the cooktop. IMHO, it’s a better design.

Just think of lighting the left burner with a lighter in your right hand while turning above the left knob with your left hand. You will know what I meant.

I tried to do what you wrote and ended up crossing my hands in an awkward manner.
So I understand what you mean. But try to imagine the same scenario with the right-most burner in a 3-burner cooktop. Pros and cons, huh?

Exactly. That’s why I mentioned only the left burner.
This position is good for the right burner. Either they have to keep the knobs left to the both the burners or stick to the traditional positions. In fact, that’s the best for 3 burners.
Shhhhhhh… don’t ever talk about four burners!
