Hello Dimers,
We have evolved from a very basic forum to where we are now… Its a interesting journey and we have learnt a lot from Dimers on what works and what does not work… 
Lately we started with a major upgrade for Desidime where we are consolidating many of the features to provide the most valuable information to Dimers and visitors of the website…
We rolled out the stores and categories page in New design format where all information about a particular store (be it deal, coupon or a discussion thread) nicely tucked on one single page..

We obviously rolled out Chat functionality which is still being worked on and will completely replace PM in next few months.
And now we are moving our efforts towards forums.. DesiDime forums is more than just deal sharing platform or plain vanilla forums… Its the most vibrant place on the internet where any shopaholic would love to be
I am attaching a screenshot of the future Forum thread (Or you can say deal)… Some of the key highlights would be Wiki (Currently Admin/Mod driven Wiki but would soon be more like a Community wiki so all top information is summarised which OP might have missed out on), ability to flag comments, ability to chat with dimers from same window (a better version), ability for the OP to upload images on Desidime server itself (no need to upload on imgur etc..), collapsing of quotes so its easier to read on mobile etc…
We would be bringing on many changes around how deal/coupon is submitted vs how a trade thread is started… We would be using this thread to keep posting regular updates so that way, all of us can together build a better community for the Dimers.
Comments are welcome and please restrict it to only discussion around the screenshot/features posted.

It simply currently shows the admin team member who maintains the wiki.
As i said earlier, in future, it may also show Dimers who maintains wiki of each deal with useful information.

Options in notifications
For examples,
1. Get notified when someone quotes you in Hot Deal only [Yes/No]
2. Get notified when someone quotes you (includes all forums) [Yes/No]
3. Get notified when someone likes your comment [Yes/No]
4. etc
@admin Just thought of a very useful feature to have — a button to copy the username enclosed within the proper @ syntax to tag somebody easily.
Like many others on the desktop site, I manually copy-paste somebody’s username to tag him/her. Such a button will make this process much easier. Please keep in mind that (1) some people like to add crazy characters and crazy cases with their usernames and (2) trying to tag somebody by typing their username one char after another brings up a huge list which makes it very hard to find someone that way. By the way, rather than trimming the chain quotes only on the front-end, move the logic to the quote window itself. This will help reduce the unnecessary heavy pages (think size/load times).
With the new front-end trimming, even users like me and @Magus who used to manually trim chain quotes have started to let go of that habit and the result is heavy pages (again, think size/load times).

Changes to Desidime 3.0 are quite dynamic and getting implemented on real time basis.I am liking it (sorry @Magus).
One problem is in page reloading. There is lag in post saving & page reloading.
E.g. I am on particular thread & quoting some post or replying to thread, by the time my post is done, there are many post in between which appear only once page is refreshed again.
Even if one has liked some post or suggested, page need to be refreshed to see changes.
Earlier that was real time. Now one has to refresh many times.
Its cumbersome & time consuming.

Even I said I liked the features. I just don’t like the design, the size of the fonts and buttons, and the like.

admin Nigel getting lots of cloudflare error since last evening. App seems to be working fine though. Anybody else getting the same error.
There is no way to go to forward,backward,first page,last page and page number in each forum section in mobile browser,only in topics you there is that function.

Not good… this doesn’t look like forums anymore.. more like a e-commrce site…the affiliate products are stuck everywhere .. the true discussions are pushed down and totally puts down the whole community feel.
