This so called test results are a scam. No doctor of repute will agree looking at these reports, and so the results are not even worth the paper they are printed on.

As far as I am concerned, thyrocare reports are quite accurate. Some of the parameter which I have cross checked with other labs have tallied well. I can say this for some of my relatives who have also got tested from other labs in addition to thyrocare and their reports too have tallied. Doctors do not get any commission from thyrocare so they trash their reports.

Thyrocare has been reputed Diagnostic Center for many years exclusive for Thyroid Test where it used to be done at Mumbai well before other diagnostics center could do Thyroid tests, even today the blood samples are sent to Mumbai and reports updated on the System, the franchise gives the print out, i got the other advanced test for Rs. 1150 for me and my wife. I got it at much lower price considering i purchased Groupon 2000 voucher for Rs. 1550 so effectively it was only Rs. 775.

Our Doctors are only interested in the report where they recommend because they get commission else they will just its very bad. So use your common sense.

is this only for thyrocare Mumbai ?

No you cannot, because results will vary across labs. What I meant is that unless you are a doctor yourself – these reports will be of no use. If you visit a doctor he will insist on retest – for whatever reason…

If you have doubt do one /two tests outside and compare results. If those are wrong anyone can sue thyrocare.

Even you check sugar in different labs with same sample those give diff results

bilal just try to reach any of the channel agents of thyrocare.. they get ridiculously high margin and some of these being target based,
they do pass on to customers as discounts.

the thyrocare tests are pan India and even the channel partners (technicians/ blood suckers takers) come home if known.

just enquire and get quotes.

but thyrocare just goes by the marketing gimmick of taking each row as a ‘test’.
so in reality these are not 70-90 or 100 tests but standard CBC, lipid, HbA1c and such.
Thyro makes CBC too sound like 5-7 tests {blood creatinine}

all in all, (without demonising Thyro or any other marketeer) personally I think that most random tests (and many doctor/hospital advised tests)
are not only uncalled for but also useless and unethical to promote

Lipid data for one is not a 100% marker of how the person will cope with imbalance.

though not always so, but more often than not tests are uncalled for and only make robots out of medicos [who regurgitate the textbooks mugged up in 5 years or order the tests for fear that they might be sued of negligence]

i do not subscribe to the views in toto.
But do think application of mind and heart both are needed in medical profession.

Only lipid profile cost more. Rest are worth penny. As a doctor we prefer reputed labs just like amazon is preferred over ShopClues
