Amazon thinks of customers like the women of night ???

was trying to avoid colourful language hence used euphemism.
forced sodomy at-least you understand?
First they ruin the peace by shoddy standards, then they think we are prostitutes in need of remuneration: because for orders of even 200-250, they sometimes say: sorry, you take refund, keep the product too as it is already messed up and shut the f _ _ k up

Somehow I am not comfortable with that ↑ if it shamelessly repeats on multiple occasions.

ralph2324 wrote:

EDIT : courier and logistics are the real weak link ..

I do not see how we are shoving it up their a _ _
How is it opposite I do not know.

I do know that they unilaterally reverse all poor feedback for any seller, if it pertains to order fulfilment of a FBA order: by saying that the onus of packing and delivering FBA listings is theirs (Amazon) .

Its their warehouse, their staff packing (on paper claim at-least) and their logistics.

so ‘ALL’ links are they themselves in a FBA order.

Amazon’s goal is to be Earth’s most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover
anything they might want to buy online, and endeavours to offer its customers the lowest possible prices.

can not blame them entirely; if their focus is to get it to us cheap; then standards may fall in places like India where adherance to or appreciation of standards is anyhow low.

btw amazon is the most innovative packaging design company. Adequate being the key word..

agree

both with the first line and last.
but it seems for some warehouse locations and on some specific orders they went really shoddy this time.
Never seen even the meanest of mean places shipping glass items in a loose covering https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_cry.gif
I mean the least they could do like the others was stuff anything inside to stop the rattle.

on numerous times I have taken up even the issue of them having practically stopped using boxes and now mold/fold the corrugated sheet into a rough shape. This leaves the contents quiet open to the forces of nature and prying fingers from open corners.

The CFLS [15W X 3] coming 1000KM in this manner resulted in two of the bulbs coming out partially as the small box budged open under the weight of other cargo perhaps.

The sad part is the Amazon thinks of customers like the women of night: they just think throwing the money on the face of the victim they sodomised annuls all complaints.
Thus taking it up with them makes it a horror.

@Mr_N / Others: its not bubble wrap except in those shoddy HDPE bags’ lining. For corrugated box lining they first moved to http://www.airpouc...m/ and are now using ‘cushioning material’ as Sealed Air calls it http://www.sealedairprotects.com/NA/EN/cushioni...
I asked them (and acquaintances in the field) without much help about my curiosity back then.
These air filled polyethylene are voluminous items that can not be flattened and I still wonder whether Amazon imports it or custom manufactures it here (under some joint collaboration with trademark owner)

On a side not I am writing the following incident for the benefit of all dimers.

Let me warn you all do not take too many refunds from Amazon as they have a policy of account closure ny their so called "account specialist ".
I have a bad experience with Amazon USA as they have a shipping service called lasership which is one of the worst courier company in USA. Many of my products were shown as delivered to one of my relatives address and never got delivered.
And on a couple of occasions when I complained to them they partially refunded my money voluntarily. My returns were like 4 items out of 15 purchased.

But on one fateful day i received an email stating that me and all my associated accounts (even of my relatives in USA) were closed and they will not allow any more returns or refunds as i had “too many” issues with my account.
For one of my orders they have delivered an ipad2 instead of ipad air and now they are not ready to change at all as my account is closed, so i am left with an ipad 2 having paid for ipad air.

Also all my accounts with Amazon.in are also closed and many of my returns as well as GC cash back for Diwali offer has been confiscated.
Now i shop on Amazon.in through a friend of mine.

So in short do not return too many items or accept refunds for smaller items as soon they may implement the same policy of account closure in India also. So be careful as their customer care is very helpful and offers refunds but their account specialist are very rigid. Once the account is closed its very difficult to open a new account ever in future.

THAT is really insightful Talera Bro https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_cool.gif

sad to know this side of the business springs up often now. Not happened to my knowledge to any, but then me or my family we only take paper cheque refunds mostly and are very very small marginal customers for them.

The part about wrong product delivery not being addressed and these fictitious fraud prevention specialist part makes me feel for you Brother.

But I hope and wish you get a better resolution.
Let me assure you, I have had ‘many’ cases of genuine refunds, some token money refund without reverse pick-up too.

These account barring and other mess is mostly only software driven and 100% reversible under correct pressure if circumstances are in your favour.

Just today I was confirmed by a semi supervisory staff (incoming call to me over previous follow up) that one of the order settings will be removed the restrictive measure for me.

Had ordered Bandridge BCL4902. defective packing and allied issue cropped and they as usual refused replacement.
The fact that they are asking me to re-order and that I should get it in faster delivery mode too was noted.

Yet, either staff is just too lax or their system is a mess. The system blindly cancelled my re-order because somewhere they have a restriction of one customer one unit.

I had to ask them to close my account and keep the refund cheque from Order01 too. Using their own slutty ways back at them works @Talera.

Maybe in NorthAm too you can show them the humane side and get your monies back.

For me now they will remove the restriction, let me order even using express delivery and later ‘price adjust’ for all extra costs [do not know what it is]

since your account verification details are same across most Amazon properties (US, DE, India, AU) except Audible.com ; they can make amends or block an account/ id in one place and all others go bust.

Please you must speak to them and go up to the Vice Presidential level if need be. Because your Indian funds too are nuked https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_confused.gif

Is Amazon dot com operating in India as Flipkart dot com ??

functioning seems eerily similar https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_confused.gif

+1 one of the 27w bulb was broken and had to ask for refund now. It was just packed in box, no bubble wrap nothing.

So it was same for almost all of us this time¡!

Looks like it shipped from seller directly or Eveready warehouse/ staff themselves had packed it.
It is 100% possible that Eveready Sales guys cut a deal with Amazon for target based discount.

Amazon may have only used their vendor’s (sellers) name on the web-site to comply with law and let actual shipping originate from Eveready hub.
In that case they only do the paperwork between Olympia, Cloudtail and other sellers with ASSPL.
Some # exhausted guys at Eveready or sellers’ contract labour hurriedly prepared the orders.
(Amazon folks must have provided packing tape, preform corrugated sheets and label printing hand-held device and ‘assumed’ they will use cushioning inside)

If all members here and sites like desidime scrammed to Amazon, the number of orders would have been pretty large.

Got my order delivered..

  1. 1x 7w LED
  2. 2x 27w CFL

There was no protection & no air pouches in the package. Luckily all three lamps survived. This is very bad on AMAZON’s part to ship it like this. Off late they have changed their shipping/ packing. Got an external HDD last week with no air padding..

The bulbs are good. Bill is provided which should help with replacement if any defect but I doubt a distri would acknowledge it without interference from AMAZON or Eveready.

The LED lamp is not manufactured by Eveready but is an import. Country of origin is not mentioned but its most likely China.

No heat sink on the LED bulb & the body feels like made of Ceramic material, I guess for such low wattage its not required.

Light is good & bright from the start unlike CFL which takes time to reach its full brightness..

No alkaline batteries are provided with any of the lamps, Its not a part of that FREE offer since nothing is mentioned on the Lamp boxes..

Good investment & I guess I should move to LED Bulbs slowly & gradually as & when my existing CFL’s start failing..

Receive combo of 27w CFL today. Packing was very weak considering such fragile item inside. The outer box is badly injured in transit. But the Bulbs are working. They travel with their own luck…

I think they wanted revenge for the dimer attack as soon as the discount error was discovered https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Exactly what I was thinking. This could have been their own way of getting back at those who took advantage of the error!

Anyway, my 4.5K worth of stuff is stuck in “detention”(whatever that means)

yeah… they are sending everything like packaging of books. Mouse, CFls, LEDs, Shampoos… everything… I was thinking of buying a laptop (for a friend). May have to plan for some other time when there won’t be this much rush.

BTW, Groupon isn’t delivering anything to Kolkata as their courier partner is unable to serve Kolkata. Amazon used to send thru Bluedart & now sending thru the worst of all… Gati.

Haha, you’ve got a meme for pretty much everything. Don’t you, Mr_N? https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_biggrin.gif And I am pretty sure this isn’t the type of detention my order is going through https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif
I ordered quite a few items as I already had an emergency light and some CFLs in my wishlist. The reading light was an added expenditure(a necessary one) as the HL-52 was OOS by the time I placed my order.
BTW, I can never give you karma as every time I try, it tells me to spread karma around first.

Those dissatisfied by packing. Go to AMAZON & fill up your feedback. They let you put it separately for packing conditions as well But do mention about it on the product reviews as well for everybody to see that AMAZON is risking products deliberately.. https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_evil.gif
