Rules for the match is as follows.
Strategy
Rules for match
- Admin team will announce one product category in the main contest thread, each team has to select five stores withing 5 minutes, after which the Admin will release the product.
- Each team will get 25 minutes to find the cheapest product from only the 5 stores which the team has selected. Time starts as soon as the product is posted.
- Editing your thread or posts is not allowed. If you find a better deal/coupon, please comment in your contest thread as a fresh post.
- Links/Sites where the product is out of stock will not be considered as an valid entry.
- The product has to be from an Indian site (international sites shipping products to India wont be considered).
- Coupons can be applied, but these coupons can not be one time coupon codes of other coupon/affiliate sites, cant be bank specific coupon codes, Signup/registration coupons will be allowed.
- Entries containing final price after cashback will not be considered valid
- If the deal is from eBay, seller rating less than 50 will not be allowed (unless it is promoted by eBay itself).
- Deals/Coupons from sites which are banned on DesiDime won’t be allowed in the contest.
- Each team will get 30 minutes to find the product.
- If the product page does not categorically say it is seller warranty it will be considered as manufacturer warranty
- Other Terms & Conditions will be notified simultaneously with the products.

- Admin team will announce 3 products in the main contest thread, one by one at the interval of 15 minutes.
- Each team will get 15 minutes/game (total 45 minutes) to find the cheapest product.Time starts as soon as the product is posted.
- Entries for game 1 will not be considered valid once 15 minutes are over and/or the product for game 2 is released,which ever comes earlier. Same will be the the case for game 2 and 3.

- Links/Sites where the product is out of stock will not be considered as an valid entry.

If the decision is not changed or a rematch is not conducted, I would loose my trust ( Infact many more dimers also will ) over DPL.
Firstly you conducted a rematch in our match against Stroking 3s when it was very clear that we were the winner. Do you know why you did a rematch there ? – Just because people were cursing admins. Same is the situation here. So think again and better think the same what you did in our match !!

Rules stated clearly that if product is OOS in 30 minutes, entry will be invalid. Then why you were okay with rematch that time?
As far as rules here are concerned, there was no clarity on rules as per the first post made by Nigel in this thread on discrepancy. Which rules are you talking about, according to which you decclaring yourself the winner?

Guys we are not taking decision on the basis on matches conducted last year.
Just to clear what happened in that (Last year) match. Team A shared a product (from HS18) and description was valid according to the minimum feature required. But Team B found different details in other site (Alibaba) which proved that HS18 entry was not valid as per the rule.
And that was the time we said that details mentioned on product page will only be considered valid. (We cant visit official site for all products to check all its features).
So let me clear it that there was no such cases like this one in past.
We’re the clear winners of that round without any objection and you too accepted the same after declaring us winners. But we’re not ready for a rematch just because decision came a bit late and others forcing you to do the same.

Everything was agreed by other admins right ? they declared other team as winner. And as per rule that time product needs to be in stock while we are checking the same. But still there was a rematch. Just because we wanted it to be fair.

Perhaps for the next DPL you could have these 2 rules
a) A product will only be considered if the manufacturer has a web page for it
b) I think the product OOS rule also needs a bit of tweaking as it is a little bit unfair. Each match should be played only in a single thread i.e. both teams post entries in the same thread. This thread should be continuously monitored by an admin member. Each team is given 3 “Check this now” chances. When they are sure about a product they should write Check this now (max of 3 times in a game) against the entry and the admin member monitoring the thread should immediately check availability and pricing/pincodes and write “Verified” against the entry. The only extra work that the admin team will have to do will be to check 6 (2×3) extra entries and I think that is a small price to pay for making the competition a better one

The Alibaba entry was from the product manufacturer. The manufacturer said 8x while HS18 said 30x
